All Chapter 4 Challenges – Halloween

If you’re a fan of the Halloween movies, you’ll know that Halloween: The Game follows the storyline of the original 1978 John Carpenter movie. When you play Michael’s story and get into chapter 4, the game really rewards you for following the plot. All the challenges for the chapter are a sequence of events you see in the movie and give you personalization options when you complete them. If you’re less familiar, you may not know exactly which other little triggers will complete the final challenge for you.

How To Complete the Chapter Matching the Film’s Plot

There are three phases to completing the chapter as the movie concludes. Through them, you will need to be patient and do things at the right time. Annie is your first segment of the chapter, waiting for the right moments to strike. The second phase involves making the right choices with Lynda and Bob. At the end of the chapter, the way Michael chases Laurie matters. We have all the details:

Kill the dog

Trap Annie in the laundry room

Strangle Annie in the car

Stalk Bob and Lynda

Pin Bob to the kitchen wall

Take Bob’s glasses

Find and put on the sheet

Kill Lynda with the telephone cord

Let Laurie see your art

Grab her while she’s in the bedroom looking at the scene

Let her run home

Pull her from the first closet and slash her once

Pull her from the second closet and grab her

Kill the Dog, Trap Annie in the Laundry Room, Strangle Annie in the Car

To start, go to the Wallace house, and you’ll see Annie. After the first cutscene, the first thing you’ll want to do is find the Wallace’s dog. To complete the chapter like the movie, you’ll have to take him out (sorry, Lester) before Annie comes out of the back door to the detached laundry room so he doesn’t give you away. Keep him on the opposite side of the house from the driveway and get to him quickly.

Once the dog has been taken care of and is out of sight, watch for Annie to come to the laundry room. Once she is inside, go to the outside door of the laundry room and lock her in. She will climb out of the window and go back inside to answer the phone.

As she answers the phone, there will be another cutscene. Your next step is to wait for her to get out to the car and strangle her from the back seat. Hide her in the closet, and you can be done with Annie, moving on to your next targets.

Watch Bob and Lynda Make Out, Pin Bob to the Wall in the Kitchen, Put on the Glasses and Sheet, and Kill Lynda with the Telephone

Bob and Lynda will appear as soon as you have your previous body hidden. Michael’s next focus is taking out this happy couple.

When they come in, they will start to make out in the living room. Michael has to watch them from the closet, let Lynda make her phone call about Annie, then wait for the couple to go upstairs for some alone time.

After the next cutscene, go after Bob in the kitchen first and kill him by pinning him to the cabinet in the corner of the kitchen by the back door. After he’s dead, don’t forget to grab his glasses off his face and grab the sheet from the bedroom at the top of the stairs before going after Lynda. Put on the sheet by walking to the bed in this room and selecting the Put on the Sheet action.

Now that Michael is wearing the sheet and glasses, you’re ready to go after Lynda. She thinks you’re Bob because of the glasses and gives you time to get ready for her telephone cord kill. Use the phone in the main bedroom to get the environmental kill you need for Lynda.

Chase Laurie Home, Slash Her, Get Stabbed

In the final segment, Laurie comes to the home and is looking for Annie, following a gut instinct that something bad is going on. The game will tell you to fully stalk her; make sure she doesn’t see you before she sees your art.

The best way to do this is to let her get all the way to the bedroom, then fully stalk her in the hallway. Another easy way to do this is to use the same closet by the front door that you use for watching Bob and Lynda, then Shape Jump upstairs.

After she’s at level 3, grab her, and she will push away from you and start to run home. Let her run home and follow her, using your Shape Jump to get into the door behind her before she shuts it.

First, she will hide in a downstairs closet. Pull her out and slash at her using your melee attack, hitting her only one time, then let her run, and she will hide in the bedroom upstairs in another closet.

Pull her out again, and this time only grab her. She stabs Michael with a hanger and runs into the hall. At this point, you’ll get the final challenge of the chapter, and you’ll have done it just like the movie.
