They will leave the player with questions about the nature of society, the human cost of modern pop culture, and the risks of unchecked technological progress.

The game’s eerily tranquil setting and atmosphere were inspired by Myst, one of the most foundational puzzle games out there. The Witness proves itself an excellent successor in terms of mystery, intrigue, and challenge. Gamers will have to pay close attention to their surroundings if they want to discover the island’s many secrets.
