President Trump railed against Time magazine Tuesday over a cover photo of him that he called “super bad” and “the worst of all time.”
In a 1:30 a.m. post, Trump slammed the photo as an unflattering look, taking special aim at the sunlight that created an odd effect on the top of his head.
“They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird,” Trump wrote on his social media site.
He questioned if editors had some kind of ulterior motive for using the upward-angled pic.
“(I) never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out,” he wrote. “What are they doing, and why?”
Time didn’t immediately comment on the commander-in-chief’s criticism of the photo, which was published Monday to accompany a story entitled: “How the Trump Administration Sealed the Gaza Ceasefire Deal.”
The sweeping story mostly lauds Trump for forging the deal to win the release of Israeli hostages and a ceasefire in Gaza, calling it potentially “a signature achievement” and “a strategic turning point for the Middle East.”
Even Trump grudgingly praised the piece as a “relatively good story about me.”
The post came about an hour before Air Force One landed outside Washington, D.C. overnight as Trump returned from his whirlwind trip to the Middle East.
He celebrated the release of the 20 living hostages, delivered a speech to the Israeli parliament and met with world leaders at a summit designed to move ahead with the details of the ceasefire and plan to rebuild Gaza.
