Below, you’ll find a direct path to all three power distribution units, so you don’t get lost in the dark, or worse, killed by the Girl who is patrolling this terrifying section.

How to Get All Charms (& What They Do) in Resident Evil Requiem
There are 9 Charms in Resident Evil Requiem to increase the power of Grace and Leon’s weapons. Here’s where to find them all so you don’t miss out.
We advise taking the Requiem for this part of the mission, as the Magnum can stun the Girl for at least 10 seconds, and there are bullets for the Requiem that can be scavenged in this area.
How to Restart the First Power Distribution Unit in Resident Evil Requiem
After trying to open the hatch, you will see that it fails. This prompts you with now restarting the power distribution units. From behind the hatch controls, you can find a ledge that allows you to drop down into the lower level of the Water Treatment Plant.
From here, you’ll want to navigate south of Sedimentation and then follow the gaps east to the Chemical Treatment power distribution unit. On a terminal, you’ll find a hatch to pull, but it requires you to hold X. You can temporarily stun the Girl with a Molotov Cocktail or a shot from Requiem, and while stunned, hold X on the crank to turn on the lights and make her run away.
How to Restart the Second Power Distribution Unit in Resident Evil Requiem
After turning on the first set of lights at the Chemical Treatment, you will want to navigate back to the middle of the Sedimentation room. From the center, go through the middle walkway on the west bridge and then follow north into the Storage Area. The Girl may try to chase you here, but try not to worry, and keep sprinting.
At the Storage Area, you will find another power distribution unit, and thankfully, you just need to interact with the crank to turn it on, instead of holding X. The power will instantly activate, and the Girl will immediately run away, so there’s no need to fire a shot unless absolutely necessary.
How to Restart the Third Power Distribution Unit in Resident Evil Requiem
From the Storage Area, make your way back to the center of Sedimentation. From the center, navigate through the southwest corridor, where you can enter the Control Room. However, do not go to the power distribution unit, as it has no crank.
Instead, head north while inside the Control Room to reach the Filing Room, where, on a shelf at the back north wall, you can find the spare Crank. With the crank item, return to the Control Room’s power distribution unit and press X to activate it immediately without needing to hold X.
You might get grabbed and thrown by the Girl here, but just shoot her with the Requiem or throw a Molotov at her to stun her, and then walk around her to reach the power distribution unit. This will cause her to flee in terror.
How to Open the Hatch on the Girl in Resident Evil Requiem
Once all power distribution units have been activated, lights will fill the downstairs area of the Water Treatment Plant, forcing the Girl to retreat. You can now safely look in the downstairs area or head to the Elevator to continue on your mission.
You can now make your way to the hatch, but the Girl will interrupt you. Luckily, there’s a light that can be turned on to temporarily stun the Girl while you walk past her and hit the glowing red button to open the roof hatch. Doing so will see the Girl begin to burn, and while prompted to shoot her, you don’t have to waste ammo. The Girl will eventually die and begin the cutscene, even if you don’t fire a bullet.
