One of the most deadly abilities seen in the series, called ‘Omen,’ has been unleashed by Imu upon quite a few pirates, and it might just be the strongest power seen in the story yet. From revival and regeneration to complete incineration with overwhelming strength, Omen is an ability that stands even above the likes of Conqueror’s Haki, as things stand.

Breaking Down The Mechanics Of Nerona Imu’s ‘Omen’

Nerona Imu’s Omen is a very powerful ability that stems directly from his Devil Fruit. As confirmed in the latest chapters of One Piece, Imu has the power of ‘The Devil’s Fruit’ or ‘Akuma no Mi.’ This Devil Fruit is one that predates any other fruit that exists in the world of One Piece and, as such, has far superior power. Unlike other Devil Fruits, it does not have a twin naming pattern. All Devil Fruits that exist in the world of One Piece have a double naming pattern, and the likes of the ‘Gomu Gomu no Mi,’ ‘Gura Gura no Mi,’ ‘Yami Yami no Mi,’ or any other fruit that exists fall in this category. Similarly, Imu immediately flew to Sanji’s location and, upon using the power of Omen once again, obliterated him with a single kick covered in black flames. Given its offensive and defensive capabilities, Omen is one of the most dangerous powers that exists in the world of One Piece.

How ‘Omen’ Surpasses Conqueror’s Haki

Imu’s Omen is a special power that goes beyond even Conqueror’s Haki, as seen in the latest chapter of the manga. When Zoro confronted Imu in the Elbaph arc, he unleashed his full power, utilizing King of Hell: Onigiri. King of Hell itself makes full use of high-level Armament and advanced Conqueror’s Haki, and as such, is made to make Devil Fruit powers yield. Yet, Imu was able to casually block this power and overwhelm Zoro’s own Conqueror’s Haki with his usage of Omen. Similarly, Imu’s ability was able to break through Sanji’s Haki and obliterate him in combat as well.

Omen is a power that surpasses Haki itself, especially when used by someone on the level of Nerona Imu, and that is what makes it truly deadly. As Imu’s abilities are explored further in the upcoming chapters of One Piece, he will most certainly demonstrate powers that break the entire power system of the world and assert his dominance at the very top even further.
