After being introduced to the basic mechanics of the game, such as how to dash and jump, as well as using the Soltari Shield, players will come across their first boss encounter in Saros, and it won’t be a pleasant one. This tutorial boss fight is designed to give players a hard time and eventually kill them to progress the game.
Dying to the boss means players do not get a chance to retry the fight and will have to continue ahead. However, the boss fight is beatable, though the rewards might not be worth it. The guide below explains in detail how players can beat the boss and whether this changes anything at the start of Saros.

Here’s how long it will take players to complete Saros and get the 100% completion.
How to Beat Consort in Saros
First and foremost, if you have already fought Consort and died, do not worry, as there is a way to fight the boss again. This involves using a different save file and deleting your previous one. You don’t need to do this from the PlayStation settings and can instead go to the Game Slots option in the game and create a new file.
As soon as you enter the new file, delete the old one. You can now stay on the current file and attempt the boss fight, and if you die again, use the next file and keep repeating the process. You can run past all the enemies in the tutorial and avoid wasting time fighting them, since they don’t drop anything of importance at the moment, and you might lose health fighting them.
For the boss fight, since you are not accustomed to the bosses in Saros yet, you will need to keep a few things in mind and get used to the combat. The boss has quite a few blue orb attacks that it will throw at you, and you need to be ready to put your Soltari Shield up to avoid taking any damage. While the blue projectiles are active, the boss can send in another wave of projectiles. These can be either yellow projectiles that you can dash through or red/nova projectiles, which deal damage if you dash through them, so you will have to move through the gaps.
There are a few more variations of yellow attacks. One is where the boss throws rings on the ground that expand, and you have to jump to avoid them. Another involves three stationary orbs that shoot a vertical beam upwards. The best possible strategy for this boss fight is to fight around the numerous pillars situated at different points in the arena. These can protect you from the red and yellow projectiles the boss throws at you, giving you cover so that you can peek and shoot the boss.
Keep in mind that the pillars, even though they are useful, will hinder your vision when the boss performs the yellow ring attacks. As soon as that attack starts, get away from both the boss and the pillars to have a clear line of sight for jumping and using the Shield.
After defeating the boss, you can walk forward to get a Halcyon. These are resources that you will need for Armor Alterations in the Matrix, which acts as the skill tree in the game. There are a bunch of upgrades that can only be unlocked using Halcyon, and even though you will get a lot of these resources as the game goes on, getting one for free at the start can be useful.
Apart from the Halcyon, nothing else changes for the rest of the game, so if you don’t want the extra resource, you should not waste time fighting this boss.
