Police were called to Frankie Valli’s Los Angeles-area home over the weekend in connection with a domestic dispute involving two of his sons, Francesco and Emilio, according to a report.
Officers responded to the 92-year-old singer’s residence Sunday evening to investigate a report of a person violating a restraining order, TMZ reported. When authorities arrived on the scene around 5 p.m., the person involved — a 38-year-old male identified by authorities as one of Valli’s sons — had already fled.
A source told People the person who showed up at Valli’s home was his son, 38-year-old Francesco. According to 911 dispatch obtained by the outlet, someone had been “banging on the door demanding entry” to Valli’s home.
After a quick search of the scene, which included the use of a police helicopter, authorities uncovered no evidence of a crime and no arrests were made.
“This is a private family matter, and it was resolved before the authorities arrived,” a spokesperson for Valli said.
In April 2024, both Valli and his younger son, Emilio, secured a three-year restraining order against Francesco. It requires that he stay at least 100 yards from their homes and workplaces, and it is set to expire in 2027.
Emilio claimed at the time that Francesco tried to break into their famous father’s home and threatened to kill them both. According to a court filing obtained by TMZ, similar incidents had been happening for “several months,” and they only escalated after Valli cut off Francesco financially. Francesco also allegedly had a drug habit at the time, and Emilio said he pawned off some of their dad’s belongings to support his habit.
