Raptors have invaded the Crimson Desert region, and if you’re feeling brave enough to try and tame one as a new mount, then you can use this guide to do so. Below, we’ll detail everything you need, from the food to tame them to the specific location you need to head to.
The Red-Feathered Raptor can be tamed at the Crimson Mountain Fortress in the east area of Tashkalp. You’ll find where to find them, and the food you need to bring, in this guide, so you can add a rather cute dinosaur to your crew of pets and mounts!
If you’ve already liberated the Crimson Mountain Fortress, you can activate the Reblockade feature from the Settings. This has a chance for the Crimson Mountain Fortress to be rataken by hostiles, but they might not always spawn Raptors. We’re expecting Pearl Abyss to fix this soon.

Where to Find & Tame Raptors in Crimson Desert
Raptors can be tamed from the Crimson Mountain Fortress area, which is in the eastern area of Tashkalp in the Crimson Desert Region.
From our experience, the Raptors will only spawn when this area needs liberating, so if you’ve already liberated this area, you might not be able to get the Raptors, as they spawn only with the enemy riders present in this location. However, Pearl Abyss is often quick to fix issues like this.
If you’re one of the lucky players who hasn’t yet liberated the Crimson Mountain Fortress, then you can still get a Raptor! All you need to do is bring around x5 of any meat (we got ours from Butchers and hunting).
You can easily knock the rider off the Raptor with Turning Slash (R1+R2). After that, you can chase down the Raptor and ride it like a normal mount. From here, open your inventory and hold A/X on your food item to press “Feed,” which lets you feed the Raptor.
You will need to repeatedly feed the Raptor until it has a Trust +100. After, just dismount with Y/Triangle, and the Raptor will be tamed as a permanent mount.
