Hotori NTE Build

Hotori is an S-Class, limited banner Cosmos character in Neverness to Everness. She can deal high burst damage and support the team. Her dual purpose as both a buffer and a damage dealer makes her a great addition to the game. Hotori also has a unique time-stop mechanic that separates her from every other character in NTE.

Hotori Kit Overview in NTE

Before getting to the best Arcs, Cartridges, stats, and teams, it is important to understand how Hotori plays. Hotori is both a Burst Damage and a Buff character. This comes from her unique energy bar mechanic, Non-Closed Timepiece, which allows her to use her skill, Present Replay, and ultimate, World’s Tide.

Hotori Esper Abilities

Present Replay allows Hotori to record her teammates’ Support and Redirect skills. When Present Replay is used, it deals Cosmos damage and records ally skills for the next 5 seconds.

It is important to immediately switch after using this skill and use each ally’s skill before the timer runs out. This can be very helpful for certain characters, such as Jiuyuan’s Rose Pact Bullets.

World’s Tide is where Hotori’s burst damage comes into play. When her Non-Closed Timepiece energy is fully charged, Hotori can use World’s Tide to stop time. There is a lot that happens here, but to simplify, her ultimate deals Cosmos damage, stops time, plays back the recorded skills, and puts her in a Katana attack mode.

While in her Katana stance, Hotori cannot be switched out, and she can only use her katana attack. This lasts for 10 seconds, and if you deal enough Katana attacks, Hotori ends with a Finisher attack for a big burst of damage.

Life Skills

Hotori has one life skill: Treasure Hunt. This increases the number of items per auction and the number of times you can refresh items that were not purchased. Overall, nothing huge, but it can help get the Covetous Coins needed to upgrade the Blind Mammon anomaly furniture.

Hotori has a few different ways to build her Console and stats. One is the pure damage version that focuses on her Ultimate damage, one is a Support version that focuses on Cycle Intensity for things like Blossom damage, and one is a mix of the two.

Best Cartridges for Hotori in NTE

Overall, Lost Radiance is the best for Hotori. It directly synergizes with her kit and the way she deals burst damage. If you are using Hotori for support, Speedy Hedgehog can work, but Hotori does not benefit from Charge Efficiency since she has a unique energy meter and skills that don’t have cooldowns. You will also lose some of the duration of the 4-piece ATK buff for allies since Hotori is stuck on the field until she finishes her Ultimate Katana attacks.

Best Stats and Modules for Hotori in NTE

Her best stats for both her cartridge and modules depend on the play style.

Damage: Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and ATK.

Support: Cycle Intensity, Crit Damage, Crit Rate, and ATK

For damage, you want to stack Crit and ATK to maximize damage during her bursty Ultimate. Cycle Intensity is good for support since it will increase the Esper Cycle Reaction damage, specifically for Blossom teams like Nanally and Jiuyuan.

Hotori gains 10% increased Cosmos damage for each Type III module equipped. After equipping the required modules for the 4-piece damage, fill the remaining slots with Type III, the ones with 3 blocks.

Best Hotori Teams in NTE

At the time of writing, Hotori is only the second limited banner character in NTE. There aren’t a ton of options that work well with her, since she is Cosmos-based damage. There are two main teams that work best, but there is a F2P team that can also work if you are lacking some S-Rank characters.

Blossom Damage: Hotori, Main Character (MC), Nanally, and Jiuyuan

Focuses on building Cycle Intensity for stronger Blossom damage from Hotori’s support.

Hathor Boosting: Hotori, MC, Hathor, and Jiuyuan

Helps Hathor get Express Delivery Power quicker from Hotori’s support.

F2P: Hotori, MC, Addler, and Mint

Addler is there for Shields, and Mint is the main damage dealer when Hotori is not ready for her Ultimate

Overall, Hotori is a fun character in NTE that most likely won’t be replaced soon simply because of her unique time-stop mechanic and support. The versatility of boosting team damage and dealing high Ultimate damage makes her worth getting for players who want multiple options for their characters and teams.
