How to Steal the Ladder in Pinky’s Shop

There’s a Joule Box upgrade item in the back of Pinky’s Parlor in Mina the Hollower, but you won’t be able to reach it without first “borrowing” the ladder from the front of the shop. The item will increase the max Joules Mina can use for her Sidearms, so it’s a pretty good upgrade you shouldn’t skip out on.

How to Get the Item in the Back of Pinky’s Parlor in Mina the Hollower

In order to reach the item in the back of Pinky’s Parlor in Mina the Hollower, you’ll need to find a way to get the ladder at the front of the shop as far away from Pinky as you can.

What you need to do is talk to Pinky at the main entrance of the Parlor and buy one of the items on the far left or far right of the shelf. Doing so will prompt Pinky to move the ladder away from him so he can grab the item for Mina. Once you’re given the item, the ladder will remain in the same spot where Pinky left it. Now, you can head outside to the Shanty Swamp and enter the shop through the back. Just go one screen to the right, one screen up, then another screen to the left.

When you’re inside the shop, use Mina’s burrowing power to get underneath the ladder so that she can pick it up (it took us a while to realize it had to be grabbed like this). Take the ladder and put it against the back upper platform, and you should have no issue getting the Joule Box upgrade in the corner!
