The Dream Sprite is extractable and can reach Level 5 like the other Sprites in Fortnite. However, the way it works is a tad different from the rest, and that’s all because of its unique ability, which we’ll explain below so you’re not wasting your time on the same Sprite.
Below, we’ll show you how to master the Dream Sprite and get it to Level 5, and let you know exactly why, when you extract with the Sprite, it refuses to stay at Level 5. Check out the guide below to get the answers you need!

If you’re hunting for the rarest Sprites in Fortnite, you’re going to need to know where all the Sprite Chests spawn on the map.
How to Check the Dream Sprite Level in Fortnite
The Dream Sprite will be mastered (max level) when you get it to Level 5, but it will also explode into loot. This means that you cannot extract the Dream Sprite at Level 5 or bring a Level 5 Dream Sprite into the match because at Level 5, the Dream Sprite explodes, and there’s no way to counter this.
If you’ve managed to get a Dream Sprite to Level 5, then it will automatically say “Sprite Mastered”, and you can view this from your Sprite collection by looking above its level and by seeing the crown icon above its head (on the left).
When attempting to get a mastery level on the Dream Sprite, you’re going to want to focus on eliminations, chests, and extracting other Sprites. This will all award XP. But remember, the Dream Sprite explodes into legendary loot at Level 5, and even though it disappears, it will be mastered when you return to the lobby and reset to Level 1, regardless of whether you win or lose.
You won’t have to re-purchase the Dream Sprite for Sprite Dust when it explodes, as it will automatically extract itself and return to the lobby at Level 1, allowing you to re-use it in an attempt to turn it into Legendary loot again.
