During the third Sequence in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, players are introduced to the crafting system and how they can find crafting materials scattered across the many islands throughout the Caribbean. These materials are used to craft upgrades that increase Edward Kenway’s pistol capacity, smoke bombs, increase his health, and much more.
Finding the materials isn’t the difficult part, especially later in the game once you’ve uncovered most of the map. The guide below goes over every crafting upgrade, along with the materials required and where you can find them.

Tips on Skinning/Hunting Animals in AC Blackflag Resynced
Most of the animals found on land can simply be hunted and skinned after you kill them. Monkeys, however, spend most of their time up in the trees, so you’ll need to shoot them down first before you can collect their pelts.
As for the larger sea creatures, things get a bit more challenging. Powerful sharks such as the Great White Shark can deal massive damage to your rowboat during harpooning missions, so it’s highly recommended that you upgrade your harpooning equipment beforehand. Stronger harpoons and a sturdier boat will make these hunts much easier, allowing you to take down the toughest sea creatures without constantly worrying about your boat sinking.
