New Official Attack on Titan Release Available Now

Developer Double Jack has just announced that its VR rhythm game Maestro is collaborating with the immensely popular Attack on Titan. For $3.99, Attack on Titan fans can now conduct their way through both the anime’s main theme and the iconic ‘Ashes and Fire’ track from Attack on Titan’s final season.

Released back in October 2024, Maestro is a VR game that sees players assuming the role of a conductor, who must lead their orchestra through a range of bombastic tracks by moving their hands to match the symbols on screen. Maestro earned acclaim from critics upon its debut, with the rhythm game earning an impressive 93 on Metacritic. Maestro has embraced its success by offering five DLC expansions since launch, many of which feature iconic songs from pop-culture, such as ‘Hedwig’s Theme’ from Harry Potter, the main theme from Game of Thrones, Star Wars’ ‘Duel of the Fates’, and ‘He’s a Pirate’ from Pirates of the Caribbean.

The sixth Maestro crossover DLC has just arrived, adding two new tracks from the Attack on Titan anime. These tracks are ‘Attack on Titan’ by Hiroyuki Sawano, and ‘Ashes and Fire’ by Kohta Yamamoto. Available now on Meta Quest, PS VR2, Pico, and SteamVR, this Attack on Titan x Maestro DLC retails for $3.99. Along with the two new tracks, this DLC adds a new cosmetic item to the VR rhythm game, the ‘Titan Sweeper’, a new conductor baton that resembles the broom Levi Ackerman wields during the anime’s 15th episode in a fan-favorite cleaning sequence.

Developer Double Jack recently announced that Maestro is heading to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17. The base game version of Maestro on Switch 1 and 2 will come packaged with Attack on Titan’s ‘Ashes and Fire’, but users will still be able to purchase the Attack on Titan main theme track separately. A free demo for Maestro on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 is available now for those who want to try their hand at using the consoles’ Joy-Cons as conductor batons.

A New Attack on Titan Game Is Launching Later This Year

In other Attack on Titan-related news, Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan 3 was recently given an official release date of December 10, 2026. For those unaware, this will be the third installment in Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan third-person action series, and will encompass the entire events of the anime from beginning to end. This will include reinterpretations of major events from previous entries, as well as all-new battles that take place in the anime’s final season, including confrontations with the Warrior Titans not seen in previous Attack on Titan games.

Pre-orders are already open for Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan 3. The Standard Edition of Attack on Titan 3 will set fans back $69.99, while the Deluxe Edition costs $89.99. For the extra $20, fans are getting a digital art book, some exclusive in-game customization items, and three days early access to the entire game.
