What Happens During the Fortnite OG Final Showdown Event?
Who Wins the Monster vs Mecha Team Leader Event?
The Fortnite OG Final Showdown event will be the second showing of the iconic battle between The Devourer and Mecha Team Leader / The Paradigm over the Zero Point. Since all OG Events play out almost exactly as their original counterparts, it’s safe to say that this event will play out exactly as it did in July 2019.
Below is a rundown of the highlights of the Fortnite OG Final Showdown Event, though I would recommend simply tuning in to watch it for yourself:
The Devourer emerges from the ocean near Lazy Lagoon, destroys a handful of landmarks, and attempts to open the Vault.
Mecha Team Leader activates and engages The Devourer with a missile barrage.
The two battle it out, causing no major damage to any POI.
While it looks like Mecha Team Leader is losing, The Paradigm reaches into the Vault for the Zero Point and uses it to knock back the monster.
Mecha Team Leader grabs a statue from Neo Tilted and transforms it into a sword.
After combining it with Zero Point energy, Mecha Team Leader beats The Devourer with the sword, leaving behind the monster’s skull and the sword as landmarks between Dusty Divot and Shifty Shafts.
