Released in 2024, Facing the Rain is described by developer Permett-Studio as “a story-driven RPG, without battles but with impactful decisions.” The game started its journey on Valve’s storefront with a $5 price tag, only to later cut its price to around $3. However, on September 21, Permett-Studio shared exciting news with fans of pixel-art role-playing games: Facing the Rain would become a free-to-play title on September 28. “I have decided to make the entire game free-to-play permanently,” the developer said, adding that support and updates will continue in the future.
