Tom Bowen is a senior editor who loves adventure games and RPGs. He’s been playing video games for several decades now and writing about them professionally for the best part of a decade. Although he occasionally dabbles in news and features, he spends most of his time writing guides these days, with a focus on breaking down complex mechanics in major series like Final Fantasy, God of War, and Pokemon.
The official release date for Gears of War: E-Day is October 6, 2026. However, as with most other modern releases, E-Day offers an early access period, which will allow some lucky players to start enjoying the game up to five days before everyone else. Of course, they’ll need to pay for the privilege.
In order to play Gears of War: E-Day early, you’ll need to purchase either the Premium or Collector’s Edition of the game. The good news is that Game Pass subscribers can still get early access by paying for the Premium upgrade, which will only set them back $30 as opposed to the full hundred bucks.
