The set will be released on April 29 at 11 pm PDT.
Celestial Guardians will feature first-partner Pokemon Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo and Lunala, and Trainers from Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.
The Pokemon Company has officially announced the next expansion arriving in Pokemon TCG Pocket titled Celestial Guardians, just hours after a leak teased a new set was arriving under a different name. Pokemon TCG Pocket players are currently diving into the mobile game’s Wonder Pick Event featuring Lucario, and since there’s only a day left of this event, trainers can now look forward to the next expansion arriving soon.
Pokemon TCG Pocket was first released back in October 2024, welcoming fans of the physical tabletop trading card game into a digital alternative to collect cards, build decks, and engage in battle with other players. Thanks to the release of the mobile game’s latest set, Pokemon TCG Pocket’s revenue surged after the Shining Revelry expansion’s release, and an increase in popularity within several regions, including France, Canada, and the United States, also contributed to the boost.

Another Pokemon TCG Pocket leak suggested Ranked Battles were coming to gameplay back in March, and since that rumor turned out to be true, players are more inclined to believe leaks about new card sets as well. The Celestial Guardians leak did get the release date correct, however, and despite being excited about the upcoming set, players were prompted to say “slow down” in jest, as most hadn’t collected the previous expansion yet.
Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Shining Revelry was the last set to release in March, serving as the third themed booster pack and the fifth expansion in the mobile game overall. The set featured 111 cards in total, including nine new ex cards, and the expansion put a particular emphasis on shiny Pokemon with debuts from the Generation 9 roster. Since Shining Revelry featured a good number of pocket monsters from the Kanto region, Celestial Guardians will surely double down on this nostalgia with trainers from Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.
