Summary
Light attacks in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are versatile and powerful against many enemies.
Specific weapons like Blodam and Seeram enhance light-based skills for Verso.
Weapons like Colim and Bourgelon provide unique effects and advantages for other characters.
Players will be introduced to the fire, earth, ice, and lightning elements early in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 thanks to Lune’s magic skills. Soon, they will start to learn about light-based attacks when Verso joins the team. Light attacks are almost non-elemental, as most enemies will either take full damage from them or can even be weak to them.

That’s what makes light-based attacks so versatile compared to other elements. Some enemies can resist or even absorb light attacks, though, so it’s not a godly element in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, even though Verso is a top-tier character. Regardless, let’s go through the light-based weapons that Verso and the rest of the party can equip.
7
Ballaro
Fight Enemies On A Beach Northwest Of Visages
The Ballaro weapon can be found on a beach on the world map northwest of Visages, and it’s a weapon for Monaco in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. When Monoco attacks or uses a skill of any kind, his Bestial Wheel will turn and give him a new mask.
Masks can boost certain traits, and with Ballaro equipped, the Bestial Wheel will turn in reverse order. Whenever Monoco uses an upgraded skill during battle, the party will gain one AP, and they will gain two AP if Monoco has his strongest mask on: Almighty.
6
Blodam
Fight Chromatic Reaper Cultist On An Island Northwest Of Sky Island
The Blodam weapon is for Verso in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and it can be won by defeating Chromatic Reaper Cultist, who is on an island northwest of Sky Island on the world map. When Verso attacks, his Perfection grade will increase starting on D and ending on S.

Increasing ranks will boost his attack power naturally, and when this happens with Blodam equipped, Verso will also generate an extra AP. The big twist is that Perfection will be based on HP lost with this weapon instead, which makes using Blodam trickier. Also, Verso has the most light-based skills in the game, and Blodam will increase their power.
5
Seeram
Buy From The Coastal Cave Merchant
The Seeram weapon is a better one for Verso, and all players have to do is buy it from a merchant in Coastal Cave. Attacking enemies will increase Perfection ranks gained, but like Blodam, there is a twist.
Verso cannot reach rank S with Seeram equipped, but there are skills that do better when in A rank anyway, like Light Holder. Also like Blodam, light-based skills will do more damage with this weapon equipped, so don’t dismiss it outright.
4
Sadon
Buy From The Visages Merchant
The Sadon weapon can be bought from a merchant in Visages, and it is one for Sciel in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. She can generate Sun and Moon charges with her skills, and when each is active, she will enter into a state called Twilight, which will increase damage overall.
With Sadon equipped, if there are Sun charges at play, then Sciel can gain a Shield, which can negate damage. Foretell will be applied when Shields are broken, and when Sciel counters an enemy, a Sun charge will be applied.
3
Colim
Fight Enemies On A Beach West Of Visages
The Colim weapon is for Lune in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which can be obtained by visiting a beach on the world map west of Visages. Lune can generate things called Stains tied to the game’s elements, which will either increase damage when present or be consumed by skills to increase damage otherwise.
If Stains are consumed while Colim is equipped, then players have a chance to gain a light-based Stain. If that light Stain in turn is consumed, then Lune will gain one AP. Finally, if Lune has light Stains present, then her magic will be boosted, maxing out at 80% since she can only hold four Stains at one time.
2
Bourgelon
Fight Chromatic Bourgeon Inside The Monolith
The Bourgelon weapon is another one for Sciel, which can be won if players fight Chromatic Bourgeon Inside the Monolith, which is a late-game dungeon in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. If Sciel has an attack that consumes Foretell, then a Burn effect will stack, but only if there is also a Sun charge at play.

Burned enemies will take damage over time, and it is one of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s many status effects. In a Twilight, Burned victims will take more damage, and Sun-based skills will stack more with Bourgelon equipped.
1
Confuso
Fight Enemies In Visages
The Confuso weapon is the best one for Verso if players want to amplify his light-based attacks, but also apply Burn to enemies. It can be found in Visages, and if players fight enemies, then they will get it. With it equipped, light-based attacks will apply Burn if they hit critically.
Verso has a skill called Defiant Strike that will apply Mark to enemies, which will lower their defense until players strike back. With Confuso equipped, that skill will generate Burn instead of Mark. Finally, Burn-based damage will increase for every Perfection rank reached, maxing out at 300% on S. So again, Burn is the way to win in this game.
