LEGO Fortnite Odyssey has a lot in store for players looking to dive into an expansive open-world survival experience, featuring a large map to explore and unique challenges to overcome. From building Villages to crafting powerful weapons, preparation is key, but one strategy in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey may be more crucial than the rest.
As players set off on their LEGO Fortnite Odyssey journey, they’ll need to gather a variety of food items to stay healed up and avoid starvation in the long run. While many foods are relatively easy to find, certain recipes require specific crops, and these can only be obtained through farming, which takes a bit of effort. Here’s how to grow crops in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey.

How To Grow Crops In LEGO Fortnite Odyssey
To grow crops in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, players must first build a Garden Plot, which can be found in the Build Menu under the Utility tab within the Village section. A Garden Plot can be placed in a suitable location using the following resources:
2 Soil: Obtained by digging with a Shovel in the Grasslands, or by converting materials at the Compost Bin
1 Fertilizer: Dropped from animals, produced by animals in a Barn, or obtained by converting materials in the Compost Bin
Once players have gathered the required resources, they can place a Garden Plot in their chosen area. After placing it, they can interact with the Garden Plot and plant any seed of their choice to grow a crop. For example, players can plant Pepper Seeds to grow Spicy Peppers. From there, all players need to do is wait, as the seed will eventually grow into a harvestable crop.
How To Get Seeds In LEGO Fortnite Odyssey
While seeds can be found in Chests and Supply Drops like most other items, players will need to build a Grain Mill to maintain a steady supply. The Grain Mill is another Utility Station that can be built via the Build Menu, and it requires the following resources:
10 Wooden Rods: Crafted at a Lumber Mill using Wood
20 Granite Slabs: Crafted via a Stone Breaker using Granite
3 Sandstone: Crafted via a Stone Breaker using Granite and Sand
Using the Grain Mill, players can extract seeds from fully grown crops. For example, converting a single Raspberry in the Grain Mill will yield 2 Raspberry Seeds. Typically, the number of seeds received is greater than the number of crops used, allowing players to steadily increase their yield over time by growing crops and then converting those crops into more seeds.
Alternatively, players can also receive a steady supply of seeds by assigning a Villager to work at a Grain Mill. To do this, players need to select the “Extract Seeds” dialogue option when assigning a Villager a Food Job. Once assigned, the Villager will gradually produce seeds over time. Players can then collect the seeds by speaking to the Villager and selecting the option to check on their progress, all without needing to use up any existing resources.
