Elden Ring Nightreign shares a lot of mechanics with the original Elden Ring, but there are a few new systems that are unique to Nightreign. Murk is a new currency introduced in Nightreign that can be used to buy upgrades and items, but what’s the best way to get it?
Murk doesn’t replace Runes or any of the usual Elden Ring staples. Instead, it’s a separate currency used specifically for purchases in the Roundtable Hold between expeditions. Murk is a lot harder to come by than Runes, however, so players should spend it wisely at the Small Jar Bazaar.

Best PC Settings For Elden Ring Nightreign
Here are the best and most optimized graphics settings you should use in Elden Ring Nightreign to improve its performance and get high FPS on PC.
How to Get Murk in Elden Ring Nightreign
Murk is an expedition reward in Elden Ring Nightreign. Whenever you come back from an expedition — dead or alive — you’ll earn some Murk for your efforts. Successful runs reward more Murk, but even a failed run won’t send you back to the Roundtable Hold empty-handed. Failing expeditions is part of the Nightreign experience, and accumulating Murk is the main way to get cool upgrades and things to make your life a lot easier.
Other Ways to Get Murk in Nightreign
You can also sell unwanted Relics in the Roundtable Hold to earn some extra Murk. Instead of heading to the Small Jar Bazaar, go to the Relic Rites menu to sell items. Scroll all the way to the right past all the character tabs, and you’ll see the Sell menu at the end of the list. You can get a few hundred Murk per Relic, and more powerful Relics will earn you even more. Be careful when selling Relics, though, since you never know if you’ll need one for a specific build with a different character.
You’ll end up with a ton of Murk just by playing Elden Ring Nightreign normally, but don’t spend it all at once. More expensive items appear in the Roundtable Hold as you progress through the game and slay more Nightlords. This includes cosmetics and skins, which are among the most sought-after purchases in Nightreign. If you want to dress up as your favorite Dark Souls character, for example, you’ll need to have thousands of Murk set aside. Some skins cost as much as 35,000 Murk, so start saving now.
