Saint Nerona Imu, the creator of the World Government, is the most powerful character in One Piece at the moment, and he possesses tremendous strength up his sleeve. The main power source of Nerona Imu is The Devil’s Fruit, also known as Akuma no Mi, which is a demonic ability that far surpasses any other fruit power seen in the world of One Piece. Imu’s Akuma no Mi is incredibly dangerous and offers a plethora of exciting abilities, the likes of which have never been seen before in the story, and all of them are unique in their own ways.

Devil Transformation
The most basic power of Imu’s Akuma no Mi is that it allows him to transform into the Devil itself. While the true classification of the Akuma no Mi isn’t known and it is also unclear whether this fruit even has a classification, what is clear is that it does allow him to transform and take various forms. Imu’s most recent transformation sees him take the form of the Devil itself. This form sees him grow two giant horns, sport white hair, and take on a rather dark skin tone.
Imu can also sprout giant black wings from his back and fly at blazing fast speeds. He also gains a giant naginata as a weapon with which he can destroy the vast majority of his enemies with ease. This devil transformation boosts Imu’s powers to sky-high levels, so much so that he can even stand toe-to-toe with the likes of Joy Boy and overwhelm him.

Domi Reversi
One of the most intriguing powers that Imu’s Akuma no Mi grants him is the ability to use Domi Reversi. Domi Reversi itself is a power that can turn any of Imu’s enemies into demonic slave soldiers, but the ways it works can vary. Domi Reversi can be utilized in two ways. By taking a certain amount of lifespan from the user and flipping their body upside down, Imu can reverse them into their demonic version. This grants them powers of immortality as well as regeneration. More than that, it also boosts their strength significantly. That said, if they suffer lethal damage, they stop regenerating and simply turn back to their original selves.
The other way to use Domi Reversi is for Imu to personally inject the body of the user with appendages of his own. This Domi Reversi seems to be much stronger and, at the same time, doesn’t result in the target regaining all their strength upon being dealt lethal damage. In either case, Imu can create an entire army of demonic slaves with the power of Domi Reversi.

Covenants
The Akuma no Mi allows Imu to enter into various Contracts with his loyal subordinates, and they are called Covenants. So far, there are three Covenants in One Piece that Imu has shown, and they are: the Shallow Sea Covenant, the Depths Covenant, and the Abyssal Covenant.
The Shallow Sea Covenant doesn’t grant much power to the user and only allows them to travel through the Abyss immediately. With the Depths Covenant come the powers of infinite regeneration, immortality, and superhuman strength, in exchange for being used as a vessel by Imu from any distance. The Abyssal Covenant is the strongest of them all and grants all the powers of the Depths Covenant, and on top of that, an ageless body, as well as the power of a Yokai. All these Covenants come from Imu’s very own ability and allow him to significantly boost the powers of all his subordinates and consolidate control over the world.

Maki – Offensive
Nerona Imu has quite a lot of offensive powers that stem directly from the Akuma no Mi, and one of them is Maki. In simple terms, Maki is demonic energy, similar to how Haki is spiritual energy. Maki allows Imu to do catastrophic damage to his enemies. In chapter 1180, Imu utilized Maki on Zoro and left him bloodied and severely injured with a light blow. He also used this on Hajrudin, completely taking him out in the process, and later down the line, was able to defeat even Sanji with the power of Maki rather effortlessly.
The offensive output of Maki is absolutely incredible, and these black flames can incinerate and bomb anyone in a matter of seconds, with hardly any way to block.

Maki – Power Buff
Maki can also be used as a power buff for Imu’s own subordinates. As was seen in the recent events of the Elbaf arc, Imu can give his own Haki to the Holy Knights, and it forms a halo of black flames over their head. With these black flames, the overall physical abilities of the Holy Knights improve beyond all imagination.
For instance, Sommers gains the ability to fly at blistering speeds with the power-up of Maki. The more Imu shares this power with others, the less Maki he has, but at the same time, he also strengthens his subordinates tremendously, making it one of the most versatile abilities of the Akuma no Mi.

Weaponry
On top of utilizing various offensive powers, Imu also has an arsenal of weapons that come with the Akuma no Mi. As seen in Elbaf, Imu stores countless powerful weapons in his grimoire, which include shotguns, daggers, and even rifles. Imu can even pull out swords from this grimoire, and it almost acts as an unlimited stash of weapons.
Some of the most powerful weapons that exist in the world of One Piece are present inside this grimoire, making the Akuma no Mi incredibly versatile as a Devil Fruit. In the future, especially as the Great War and the other battles in One Piece edge closer, Imu will unleash more powerful weapons and showcase his incredible skill with wielding them.
1
Full Zoan Transformation
The Akuma no Mi allows Imu to transform into a Devil, but following the standard Mythical Zoan logic, it also allows him to transform into a full Devil form. This form was first teased in chapter 1085, when Sabo finally came face-to-face with the Five Elders and Nerona Imu. In order to consume Sabo’s flames, Imu took his full Devil transformation and opened his jaw wide, completely consuming the attack in the process.
This full Zoan form has not been revealed by Oda just yet, but in the future, it is highly likely that Imu will showcase this power in the Final Saga. Clearly, Imu’s Devil’s Fruit offers abilities beyond human comprehension, and it is the most versatile fruit to exist in the world of One Piece, with powers that are simply immeasurable.
