LEGO’s long-rumored The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith set may launch with a unique gift in the form of a battering ram model, according to a new report from a reliable leaker. LEGO is expected to debut the massive set in late spring 2026.

Identified by set number 11377, the LEGO replica of Gondor’s capital has been rumored since September 2025. According to multiple reports from established insiders, the Minas Tirith model is expected to launch as LEGO’s largest Lords of the Ring set to date, featuring 8,278 pieces.

Three More LEGO Spider-Man Sets Announced for June 2026

LEGO announces another three Spider-Man sets for June, with one of them seemingly confirming a recent rumor about Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

LEGO’s Massive Minas Tirith Set Reportedly Coming with Battering Ram Gift

As is often the case with massive sets, LEGO is expected to incentivize purchases of the Minas Tirith set with a unique gift. According to a recent leak from the Brick Tap community, that gift will arrive in the form of 40893 Battering Ram, a 307-piece set with two minifigures. While the report offers no other details on the matter, the most prominent battering ram in the Lord of the Rings lore is Sauron’s Grond. The wolf’s head-shaped siege weapon was used in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, by far the largest battle of the War of the Ring depicted in Peter Jackson’s The Return of the King.

According to previous rumors, the Minas Tirith set itself will have at least 10 minifigures, including King Aragorn, Pippin, Denethor II, Faramir, and four Gondor soldiers. A minifigure of Gandalf the White is also expected to be included, alongside his horse, Shadowfax. Combined with the newly leaked 40893 Battering Ram, Minas Tirith buyers are expected to receive at least a dozen minifigures with their purchase.

Set no.: 40893

Pieces: 307

Minifigures: 2

Price: N/A / Gift with Purchase alongside the $650 11377 Minas Tirith

Release date: June 1, 2026.

LEGO’s 11377 Minas Tirith set is rumored to be targeting a June 1 release. If that timing proves accurate, an official announcement could be imminent, as the Danish toymaker typically gives its costlier sets at least several weeks of pre-order availability before launch. Early rumors from 2025 placed Minas Tirith in the $600–$650 range, while more recent reports point to a $650 price tag. In either case, the set is expected to debut as one of LEGO’s most expensive releases to date, trailing only a handful of offerings such as the $999.99 Death Star (75419) and $849.99 Millennium Falcon (75192) sets.

Although Minas Tirith appears likely to debut as LEGO’s sixth-largest set to date, it may not retain that position for long. The set is expected to move down the size rankings within a month of release, with another recent Brick Tap report claiming that LEGO’s largest set ever is planned for July 1, 2026. That offering is said to be a brick-built replica of Barcelona’s Sagrada Família basilica. If both Sagrada Família and Minas Tirith reach shelves as currently reported, six of the ten largest LEGO sets ever released would be active retail products (as opposed to retired sets) for the first time in a while.
