The world of One-Punch Man is home to some of the strongest characters anime has ever seen. Among these impressive warriors, the series has also introduced many skilled and dangerous martial artists who take the craft to whole new levels.

These warriors have overcome the limits of human physiology to become living weapons, capable of superhuman feats that would impress even the most dedicated practitioners. While nowhere as strong as Saitama, these characters have enchanted fans with their refined techniques, unbreakable will, and, more often than not, their unforgettable special techniques.

Lighting Max

One of the fastest and most agile anime characters in shonen, Lightning Max is a noble and humble fighter who is always ready to put his life on the line. He is a fighter known for his speedy kicks, which can cause massive damage to an opponent even in their most basic form. This fighting style is aided by his special shoes, which have two hidden mechanisms that can either increase his power or his speed.

If Max needs stronger kicks, he can activate the gunpowder stored in the item to create small explosions. When he needs increased acceleration, he can use the propellants hidden in his heels. Lamentably, even with the aid of these tricks, Max has been proven to be far weaker than many other fighters, almost always relying on stronger heroes to defeat the strongest villains in the franchise.

Suiryu

Training arcs in shonen anime are a staple of the genre, as they serve as a quick and entertaining way for fans to see a hero grow stronger. Woefully, One-Punch Man fans might never see Suiryu go through one of these montages, as he is a hero known for relying solely on his natural talent. This does not make him weak by any means, as he is by far one of the most talented human fighters in the anime.

His abilities are such that he can stand to fight against one of the mighty Dragon-Level monsters, such as Gouketsu, far longer than any other regular human could. Bakuzan

Once a proud and brutal human fighter, Bakuzan was known for his unusual approach to combat. Most of his fights ended incredibly quickly, with his opponents being defeated in only a couple of moves. Yet, after realizing how much stronger fighters like Suiryu or Saitama were, he decided to abandon his humanity and become a monster.

In this form, he was easily able to torment a fighter who, in the past, would have been able to present a real challenge to Bakuzan. His strength was augmented drastically, but his technique became sloppy and unrefined. Not much was seen of this fighter in his monster form, as Saitama disposed of him with a single punch to save the members of the A-Class heroes present at the arena.

Creator of the legendary Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist style, one of the strongest hero abilities in the series, Bomb is a venerated elder whose strength has not diminished with time. He is a truly accomplished fighter who has remained honorable by fighting all of his opponents until the bitter end. In his prime, he was considered one of the most dangerous men alive, capable of destroying extremely powerful monsters in just a few strikes.

His stamina and agility have indeed decreased with his advanced age, but when needed, he is always willing to join his brother on the battlefield to protect the planet. He is undoubtedly one of the most absurdly powerful elderly individuals in anime, still capable of impressing younger fighters. Still, his age does play a factor in how long he can remain in battle, making him less reliable than other heroes.

Atomic Samurai

Objectively one of the strongest samurai warriors anime has ever seen, Kamikaze is a hero whose fame precedes him. His skills with a sword have no equal, with most opponents falling before his mastery in seconds. While not as agile as other combatants, he is still an extremely nimble warrior, reaching speeds far above that of a regular human.

His reaction speed is also legendary, capable of deflecting attacks in the blink of an eye. If anything else fails, Atomic Samurai can always rely on his mythical Sun Blade, one of the best swords in anime, a weapon that increases his overall skills tenfold. Still, if he were to ever wield this sword, the results could be catastrophic, as it feeds on the life force of the user.

Ninja Village is one of the most intriguing and exciting locations the One-Punch Man series has to offer, as it is home to some of the most skilled warriors in the world. Among these decorated combatants, Flashy Flash stands as the best student these ancient lands have ever produced. This hero is not only one of the best swordsmen in the entire franchise, but he is also the most agile.

His speeds are such that many say he can travel at the speed of light, making him able to bypass the defenses of almost any opponent. Combined with his deadly ninja skills, Flashy Flash becomes a true killing machine that shows no mercy to evildoers. Nonetheless, his arrogance and overconfidence in his skills often lead him to underestimate enemies that he considers lesser.

Gouketsu

Born from the fusion between a talented yet limited human fighter and the cells of the King of Monsters, Gouketsu is a fighter who can make even the most experienced heroes tremble in fear. Before his transformation, this mighty warrior was already an outstanding martial artist whose mastery of the craft led him to become the champion of the Super Fight tournament.

After being defeated by Orochi and being forced to consume the cells of the monster, he becomes a rampaging being, capable of defeating high-level combatants with a single attack. Even Genos assured that an entire team of S-Rank heroes would be needed to defeat this monster. Woefully, his life ended rapidly after Saitama joined the fight, making many fans believe his existence ruins the series by throwing all power scaling out the window.

At first sight, Bang might seem like an old man out of his depth, fighting against some of the most terrifying monsters in anime. Yet, despite his advanced age, Silver Fang is not only one of the most accomplished heroes in One-Punch Man but also one of the most talented fighters. Unlike his older brother, Bomb, whose skills have diminished due to his age, Bang has apparently done nothing but become stronger.

His speed, reaction times, and agility are almost supernatural, as he is capable of keeping up with creatures who have actual superpowers. Above all else, Bang’s success comes from his refined technique and ability to adapt to almost all combat styles, abilities that have helped him overcome monumental obstacles.

Orochi

Hailed as the undisputed King of Monsters and one of the most dangerous members of the Monsters Association, Orochi is a being whose strength can only be described as cataclysmic. His body was augmented to be impervious to almost all damage, to raise his strength to unmatched levels, and to have almost instantaneous reaction times.

Besides these completely overpowered abilities, Orochi was a trained warrior, knowledgeable in several combat styles that he could use to overwhelm an opponent. He was also capable of analyzing an opponent in seconds, learning their attack patterns, weaknesses, and counter maneuvers. It is not surprising to any One-Punch Man fans that this creature was considered an above Dragon Level threat.

Garou

First introduced as a man with a deep hatred for heroes and their subjective sense of justice, Garou was once Bang’s pride and hope for a better future. He was an extremely talented youngster with the potential of one day surpassing even his master. After falling victim to God’s manipulation and physical alterations, Garou became a true monster, powerful enough to erase humanity if he so wished.

While his fighting abilities were already deadly in his awakened form, what made him such a dangerous fighter was his ability to instantly adapt and grow whenever he received any kind of damage. Garou has so far been the only monster to ever force Saitama out of his comfort zone. He is objectively one of the best hand-to-hand brawlers in anime, as well as the best fighter in the series so far.
