A pimp working on Brooklyn’s notorious “Penn Track” who the feds say beat one of his prostitutes and threatened to break her jaw could face more than a decade behind bars after pleading guilty to federal charges Monday.
Kaleem “Consistent” Nurse was indicted in December on allegations he trafficked several woman and forced them to engage in sex work in the borough’s notorious open-air prostitution market. On Monday, he pleaded guilty to a federal interstate prostitution charge, admitting in court that he convinced one of those women to cross state lines and do sex work for his financial benefit.
His guilty plea comes less than a month after another Penn Track pimp, Omari Scott, 45, got a 50-year sentence for ordering the murder of a rival who tried to poach one of his prostitutes.
Nurse, 31, faces the prospect of nine to 11-and-a quarter years in prison, based on federal guidelines, when he’s sentenced in Brooklyn Federal Court Dec. 7. He must also register as a sex offender. He’s been locked up since his indictment.
A filing by prosecutors in December 2025 described Nurse as a brutal, prolific pimp who used threats and violence to keep sex workers under his thumb and constantly working the desolate industrial strip near Pennsylvania Ave. in East New York.
In one instance, prosecutors said, he threatened to punish a woman for drinking and falling asleep with a john in January 2022, texting her, “I shulda put you in the hospital. Shulda did. Broke your teeth. Your mouth. Your jaw.” The next day, he beat her and gave her a black eye, and when she complained about having to hide her face from her child, he responded, “You caused that…. and you deserved way worse.”

Several months later, when the woman complained that he was using her apartment as a sex pad for other prostitutes, he kicked down the front door and warned her, “b—- you lucky it wasn’t your TEETH down!” the feds said.
Nurse also has a history of violence in Miami-Dade, Florida, prosecutors said, where he was sentenced to five years of probation for deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution in November 2019. He had been forcing a woman to perform sex work, and that October, he pinned the woman to the floor and allowed another woman to punch her in the face, prosecutors said.
