Every person has their own vibe they put out into the world. It’s the way a person carries themselves and interacts with people around them. But how does that translate to Paralives?
In this life simulation game, part of building your characters includes choosing their vibe from a list of options. Here’s what they mean for your character, and how they can change your interactions.

Improving your Parafolks’ skills in Paralives helps them achieve promotions and live a more fulfilling life. Here’s how to level up every skill.
How to Choose a Vibe in Paralives (& What it Means)
When creating a new household in Paralives, there is a Personality tab in the top left, indicated by a brain icon. Here, you can pick where to put seven personality points, choose a social perk, talent, and lifestyle choices, and your vibe. Next to the Vibe tab, you click Pick One to open the list. You can choose from one of five vibes:
Overjoyed
Gloomy
Energetic
Serious
Jester
Your character’s vibe will give them unique conversation options and actions that match the vibe you choose. For example, a character with the Jester vibe can have more jokey dialogue when introducing themselves or flirting, and often does so “as a joke.”
You can find the full effects for each vibe below!
Overjoyed Vibe Effects
Overjoyed vibes want to share their joy with those around them. These people can make those around them happier just by being there because of their Happiness Aura.
This may be the easiest vibe to accommodate and get along with other people in town. Just make sure they’re happy, and their needs are met, and they’ll be floating on air. They like to have conversations where they can share the good things that have happened to them.
Gloomy Vibe Effects
Sadness is where a gloomy character thrives. They want to tell a depressing story when talking with an acquaintance.
When they’re sad, they have a vibe emotion bonus that adds another point to their sadness score. It’s best not to pair them with Overjoyed Vibe people in the same home; their aura will make a Gloomy Vibe person angry.
Energetic Vibe Effects
Those with an Energetic Vibe come equipped with more energy to tackle more things in the day. You’ll see this in the form of a vertical status bar next to their emotions tracking.
When they’re able to use that energy to get up and do things, they thrive. When the energy surplus is full, they add stress to their emotions. The energy surplus can be used to shake off sadness, give themselves a pep talk, or take a power nap. They also have the unique option to eat an energy bar from their fridge, which is not an option for other vibes.
Serious Vibe Effects
When dealing with a serious vibe character, you will notice they want to do things like joke about topics that aren’t typically jokes.
For example, nuclear energy. When they are performing a task they really care about, they can get In the Zone. This causes them to ignore all of their needs while performing the task they’re zoned in on.
Jester Vibe Effects
A character with the Jester Vibe thrives when their fun meter is full, but they can be unpredictable.
In addition to being able to have humorous interactions with other people, there are a few surprises in store when you play a Jester Vibe character. After the first day, a Jester Vibe character will ignore one of their needs at random for the day. This means you can’t see where it is on the status bar until the next day, and they won’t automatically stop the activity intended to fill that bar once it’s full.
