Black Clover experienced an 11-year-long successful run, spanning from 2015 to 2026. With the Black Clover manga having recently ended and the anime quickly catching up with the premiere of Black Clover Season 2 on October 3, 2026, it may seem that the franchise as a whole is coming to an end.
However, Jump Festa 2027 is fast approaching. This event, focusing on franchises from Japan’s most popular magazine, is set to give Black Clover its own stage, which means there’s a big possibility that we could see a new manga or anime update in December 2026.
Black Clover By Yuki Tabata To Be Featured At Jump Festa 2027 On December 19 & 20

When it comes to anime and manga-focused events, Jump Festa is easily one of the biggest events there is, if not the biggest. Jump Festa first debuted back in 1999. This anime and manga event specifically focuses on shonen series hailing from Japan’s most popular manga magazine, Weekly Shonen Jump. This event takes place yearly and sees a wide array of exciting reveals tied to both the anime and manga. Usually, when a series has a big announcement or project to unveil, it gets announced at the Jump Festa event, specifically in the Jump Station Stage. This year, Jump Festa 2027 is taking place on December 19 and December 20, 2026. For live attendees, it will be hosted in Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba, Japan, although fans can simply watch it from the comfort of their home via livestream.
Most of Weekly Shonen Jump’s biggest series are set to make an appearance. The list of exhibits has now been fully unveiled, and we know what series to expect. It has been confirmed that Yuki Tabata’s Black Clover is about to make an appearance at Jump Festa 2027 on December 19. This is exciting, as it means new potential updates or reveals for the franchise. Since the manga just ended a few months ago, we’re hopeful for some new information concerning its release. This isn’t exactly a surprise as Black Clover has been prominently featured at Jump Festa ever since 2016, never skipping a single year. This also goes to showcase its overall importance to the magazine itself and its general popularity.
Black Clover To Appear Under Jump Station for New Announcements

On September 24, 2026, Shueisha, the publishing company behind Weekly Shonen Jump, finally announced the full list of stages and series to be featured. Consequently, we now have a full idea of what anime and manga series to expect during this grand event. This year, Jump Fest 2027 is about to be divided into three categories. Super Stage is, as usual, the biggest stage of the bunch. Fans have the highest expectations for series featured on this stage. This year, Super Stage includes the likes of One Piece, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Naruto, among others. Sadly, Black Clover was not announced to be among them.
Jump Festa 2027 also has a Jump Studio category. Jump Studio could be considered the second tier of announcement stage for Jump Festa. This includes some other big series like Bleach and Kaiju Number 8 this year, but also some smaller ones like Witch Watch. Once again, Black Clover will not be involved here either, much to the surprise of the fans. Instead, we can catch Black Clover’s event at the lowest tier of the three, called Jump Station. Jump Station is typically dedicated to newer and not very well-established manga. Out of the series featured this year during Jump Station, Black Clover is by far the biggest one. The fact that Black Clover is only featured at the third-year stage is definitely not a great sign. Series featured during Jump Station may not get any exciting new announcements. But, there’s every chance of them still making major announcements, as that isn’t unheard of either. Until the event itself takes place, we are still holding out hope to see something new, either from Studio Pierrot or from the creator, Yuki Tabata himself.
What To Expect For The Future Of Black Clover

When it comes to the appearance of Black Clover at this year’s Jump Festa 2027 on December 19 and December 20, 2026, there is still quite a lot of intrigue and mystery. Fans are wondering what exactly the event holds in store for their favorite magical shonen series. At the moment, it’s hard to guess what will be announced. As previously mentioned, because Black Clover belongs to the third stage, there might be no major announcements. On the flip side, Black Clover does have a major ongoing anime, so major updates pertaining to it could be revealed as well.
There’s also a chance of new content from Yuki Tabata being announced on this day as well. Since Black Clover officially ended on May 1, 2026, in Jump GIGA Spring Edition, the author has had enough time to plan his next move. When taking into consideration the fact that Black Clover’s ending was rather rushed and left many stones unturned, there is a small chance of additional manga content as well.

Black Clover Officially Announces New Release Ahead Of Season 2
Black Clover has a new project coming up before the release of its new season in October.
We did receive an extra chapter on August 4, 2026, with the release of Perfect Grimoire and Black Clover Volume 38, but there is still a lot more that fans would like to see. At the very least, one new extra chapter from Tabata could expand on the ending and give fans a more fleshed-out epilogue for this world that they have followed for 11 years.
New Black Clover Anime Ending Update At Jump Festa 2027

The manga aside, there could also be a new update for the Black Clover anime at Jump Festa 2027. As fans know, Black Clover is returning in October after a 5-year-long hiatus that began in 2021. Black Clover Season 2 Episode 1 debuts on October 3, 2026. This new season is highly anticipated, and it has now been confirmed that it is going to be split into two cours. Cour 1 is starting its run on October 3; it is expected to conclude in early January 2027. As such, Jump Festa, which takes place in late December, could deliver a new update for its second cour. At the moment, we don’t know when Black Clover Season 2’s second cour will be released, but we do know that it’s coming sometime in 2027. Jump Festa could be the perfect time to announce its exact episode count, as well as its release date, alongside delivering a new Key Visual.
There’s also an outside chance of Jump Festa 2027 announcing smaller Black Clover projects. For example, we’re getting a new Black Clover art book in November 2026. A similar-scale project could be unveiled at Jump Festa 2027. Either way, fans are just excited to see Black Clover involved in the biggest shonen manga event of the year. We hope some new manga content is revealed, but either way, it’ll be a ride.
