How to Complete Rosaura’s Quest in Lies of P Overture

Just like the base game, the Lies of P Overture DLC continues the trend of soulslike games featuring difficult and complex side quests. And while there are many examples of this, one of the best examples can be found in Rosaura’s quest. Here, you must locate Rosaura in several locations, with very little information regarding where she’ll turn up next. With this in mind, this guide will offer a complete guide to completing Rosaura’s side quest in Lies of P Overture.

How to Start Rosaura’s Quest in Lies of P Overture

Rosaura’s Starting Location:

You’ll first come across Rosaura after witnessing the first major cutscene with the Legendary Stalker in Chapter 1. This is the scene where we see the stalker pass through the strange underground tunnel and interact with the stopwatch in front of the massive red wax statue. After regaining control of P, and passing through the same tunnel, you’ll arrive at the chapter’s final area, the Carnival Garden.

You’ll find Rosaura, who appears to be a small female puppet in a red dress, sitting on a trunk in front of a sign with painted balloons, just past the Carnival Garden Stargazer. Walk up to Rosaura and interact with her, making sure to fully exhaust all her dialogue options. Doing so will begin Rosaura’s side quest. The first task she gives you is to locate her missing shoes.

Rose Shoes Location:

Rosaura’s missing shoes are called the Rose Shoes, and can be found within the carnival. To locate them, you’ll want to make your way to the carousel. To reach the carousel, you’ll need to head through the main gate, then up through the round courtyard where the massive Carnival Barker puppet is stationed. Once you beat the enemy, head up the larger stairs towards the Ferris Wheel.

You will now want to ride the Ferris Wheel up and around until you reach the exit platform. Make your way along the raised wooden path, but be careful, as the small clown puppets are hanging over the side, and will ambush you after you pass them. Once you’ve cleared the path, continue until you see the roof of the carousel. Pick up the Zoo Tram Station Key for later, then drop onto the roof, walk around to the front, then drop through the hole in the roof and onto the carousel track.

Once you’re on the track, watch out for the horses that whiz by. There are also two stationary puppets that will lob bombs at you. Take them out, then use the gaps to walk around the carousel until you find a chest. Open the chest to collect the Rose Shoes.

Return the Rose Shoes:

Now that you have the Rose Shoes, return them to Rosaura back at the Stargazer. Rosaura will now be able to walk, though before she leaves, she’ll give you the following rewards:

After this, you won’t see Rosaura again until Chapter 3.

Rosaura’s Quest Location Two – Lies of P Overture

Traverse the Mines:

The second encounter with Rosaura won’t take place until you are about halfway through the mines that make up the bulk of Chapter 3. You’ll find her sitting close to the chapter’s third Stargazer, which is found as you exit the mines. This encounter is much more straightforward, as Rosaura simply asks you for Ergo.

After asking, a menu will come up showing the options for which Ergo you may gift her. We chose the largest Ergo piece we had (Ergo Crystal of the Eternal), and it seems we did it right, as we got the reward, as well as a boost to P’s humanity level. The rewards were as follows:

Enter the Lighthouse:

Rosaura’s third location in Lies of P Overture is a bit tricky to find, and by far the easiest to miss. In this instance, she is not located near a Stargazer. Instead, once you near the end of Chapter 4, you’ll want to make sure you enter the Krat Lighthouse. You can see the location in the distance as you make your way through the shipwrecks. When you reach the Frozen Coast, you’ll know you are at the last Stargazer before the lighthouse.

When you reach the docks, make your way through until you reach snow again. Then, head left towards the lighthouse. Once inside, make your way to the very top of the lighthouse, then look over the edge where the railing is missing. You’ll see a ledge below that you can drop onto. From that ledge, take the ladder down to the lower level. There, you’ll find Rosaura standing near the edge.

This time, speaking to her is enough to earn her rewards. Her third batch of rewards includes:

The final interaction with Rosaura will take place after you’ve fully completed the Lies of P Overture DLC. Once you are in the post-game state, you’ll need to visit Krat City Hall back in the original timeline.

Make your way up into the City Hall complex, near the boss arena from way back in chapter 2. After you climb the steps, turn left, and you’ll see the Tree of Friendship from Rosaura’s image. Approach the tree, and you’ll find Rosaura, now a mere shell of her former self, sitting on the ground. You’ll have one final chat with her, which need not be spoiled here.

Needless to say, it is a moving moment. Here, you will receive Rosaura’s final reward, Drawing of a Family. This will bring her quest to a close.
