It’s been eight years since the Fortnite Battle Royale game mode was released, and Epic Games is celebrating the launch of one of its biggest successes. The birthday event began on September 23, and it will be live until September 30 at 9 AM ET.

During this time, players will be able to find Birthday Cake and Birthday Presents in Fortnite. However, since these are limited-time items, players won’t have long to try them out. Therefore, they must hop in-game and run towards their location right away. This guide shows players where they have to go to find birthday goodies in Fortnite.
Where to Find Birthday Cake in Fortnite
Players can find Birthday Cake at most named locations, but not all. Additionally, cake can also be found near landmarks and some gas stations. Here is where players can go in order to find birthday cake in Fortnite:

The Birthday Cake is surrounded by eight Birthday Cake slices, and each slice will simultaneously heal the player by 10 HP and 10 Shield. However, if the player is at maximum health, they won’t be able to consume any slices.
Busy locations always attract more gamers, so those trying to consume Birthday Cake slices for a quest should head to a POI that’s not too close to the Battle Bus route.
Where to Find Birthday Presents in Fortnite
Birthday Presents won’t be as easy to find as Birthday Cake, as they don’t have any fixed spawn locations. So, players can’t simply head to a POI in order to guarantee that they’ll find this item. Players can find Birthday Presents in Fortnite as floor loot or inside treasure chests. However, since these are Legendary-rarity items, they don’t spawn as often as lower-rarity items.
To see the contents of the Birthday Present item, players must select its inventory slot, use the Aim button to and then throw it on the ground using the Fire button. A giant gift-wrapped Birthday Present will appear, and fans can break it open with their pickaxe to see what’s inside. Alternatively, they can simply throw it at their feet and find themselves inside immediately, but in this case, they will have to use their pickaxe to break out of the present.
The eighth birthday event is only live until September 30, 2025, at 9 AM ET. Once it’s over, players will no longer be able to find Birthday Cake or Birthday Presents in Fortnite.
