If there is one stable way to make a profit in the Ultimate Team mode that has survived many changes and revolutions over time, it is the Bronze Pack Method, which the community usually refers to as BPM. This method always works. The reason why it works is simple. Players like to complete their SBCs with the least possible sacrifices. So, they always go for Bronze items. As long as you have Bronze items, you would never use a high-rated Gold item to complete a squad-building challenge. Here’s how it works.

Initially, you will have some coins when you begin the Ultimate Team mode, but you need more. You can play some matches (online or against AI) to collect more coins and complete some objectives that reward you with coins. Once you have around 5,000 coins, buy Bronze Packs from the FUT Store. Then you open them and check out the price of every item on the Transfer Market. It’s usually the player and manager items that are worth listing on the market.

Based on your luck, you will receive different player and manager items, but if there is any from a top team or a well-known league, it will be worth more than the Bronze pack’s price on the market. Sometimes, the sum of your listed items surpasses the pack’s price. And sometimes, you just don’t gain anything valuable.

Usually, decorative items or things like badges or kits are not worth listing on the transfer market. It’s just best to Quick Sell them. However, player and manager items are always worth selling on the market. So, never Quick Sell them before checking their price on the transfer market.

Don’t panic if you open three or four Bronze packs and none of them cover the price; it’s rare, but you may face it occasionally. Once you get a valuable player or manager item, you can sell it for around 2,000 to 5,000 coins, which alone covers the cost of multiple packs. This method is always profitable in the long run, and you will gain more as you open more Bronze packs.

What this method doesn’t guarantee is becoming a millionaire in a few days. And honestly, nothing will get you to that point in a short amount of time. BPM is a safe way to increase your overall income in the game and have an additional source of earning coins besides playing matches in Division Rivals, Squad Battles, Live Events, and completing seasonal challenges.

Of course, it will help you get rich quicker and will ease the start of your career in Ultimate Team, but it’s not an infinite money cheat code. And remember, it works pretty well in the launch month of the game, when there are many new players who have just started their FUT career. It will still work months later, but the demand for Bronze players will drop significantly, and your listed items won’t be sold quickly enough.

Which Bronze Items Are Most Valuable in FC 27?

For player items, the club matters the most. If the item belongs to any top-level club in Europe, that’s gonna make you a good amount of coins, regardless of the fact whether the player plays for the men’s or women’s team of the club.

As shown in the images above, players from clubs like Bayern Munich will be listed at significantly higher prices. The same goes for any other contender team from high-level leagues; Clubs like Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona, PSG, Roma, etc. will always have a big influence on the player’s transfer market price tag, especially the Buy Now price.

The real problem at the moment is that Electronic Arts has combined Rare Bronze and Regular Bronze cards. Unlike FC 26, you won’t see two different versions of cards for each rarity. In FC 27, there is only one Bronze rarity, simply called Bronze. Previously, Rare Bronze cards were used to sell for a higher price than regular Bronze cards, and that was an added value, but that has been removed now.

When it comes to managers, nationality and league are the important factors. Usually, you want managers from England, Spain, Germany, or Italy. If the league and nationality match, it’s a bonus, such as a Spanish manager in La Liga. Keep in mind that manager items cannot be submitted to the new Streamlined SBCs. So, it will lower their overall value compared to the player items of the same level.

Is BPM Still Valid For FC 27?

SBCs are the most common use case for Bronze players and managers in FUT. With the release of FC 27, Electronic Arts has shaken up the way SBCs used to work. You will still build an 11-player squad like before, but there is now a new version of challenges known as Streamlined SBCs.

In this new version, you will just submit players to reach a set score determined by the challenge. Each player item will have a different score in the Gold rarity based on the OVR rating and the version of the card, but all Bronze and Silver items have a fixed score. For Bronze, the score is 20.

The good news is that you have no limit on the number of players you submit. One player can complete a Streamlined SBC by submitting two Gold items, while another can complete it by submitting 20 Bronze players.

However, some rules do lower the Bronze item usage. For example, you can now submit duplicate items to the Streamlined SBCs. Other than that, the SBCs no longer force you to meet certain team chemistry or include players in certain positions. This will show its effect on the price of Bronze player items in the transfer market.

In previous iterations, players might have been looking for a Championship striker with a Bronze rarity, which logically used to make it more valuable than its true price in the transfer market. However, in Streamlined SBCs, that will not be the case anymore. And that’s fine. It’s not a BPM killer. Streamlined SBCs are a new way of spending Bronze items, and they don’t replace anything.

I talked about this downside, but let’s also focus on the positive effect of the new Streamlined SBC system. Since you can submit any player to most Streamlined SBCs, Bronze players can still contribute to the squad-building challenges almost always.

In the older system, you couldn’t fit a Bronze player in the squad when there were rules like reaching a maximum OVR of 85. However, the Streamlined SBC system replaces the OVR ceiling with a score system, and it doesn’t care if you hit that score with Gold players or Bronze players. So, this will actually keep the demand for Bronze items alive in the long run, rather than a surge in the game’s launch week or month.

It’s worth noting that the new Streamlined SBC system is not completely free of requirements. First of all, the old SBC format is not dead. Some SBCs will still require you to fill a full squad of 11 players, just like in previous games. They are the bare bones of squad-building challenges, and you will get to earn packs by the famous repeatable SBCs.

Secondly, the new Streamlined SBC system might also feature some requirements. For example, a Streamlined SBC might require players with an OVR above 75, or only accept players from a certain nationality.

Overall, it’s safe to say that the BPM still works in FC 27. Its effectiveness will probably last even longer than in previous games, thanks to the new Streamlined SBCs. So, you will earn these profits for a longer period because the need for Bronze players will no longer be limited to those who start a new career in Ultimate Team.
