The East Raccoon City chapter in Resident Evil Requiem requires Leon to put on a brave face as he navigates the darkened and flooded tunnels of the Underground Parking Garage. If Leon is to build the detonator to blow up the wall blocking his path, he’s going to need to take a detour.
The Underground Parking Garage contains 2 batteries that Leon needs to find. Below, you’ll find a step-by-step walkthrough so you can obtain the batteries and avoid getting yourself lost, scared, and potentially killed.

How to Get the First Battery in the Underground Parking Garage in RE9
The first Battery can be found in the Underground Parking Garage. To start, look opposite the fuse box where you found the Battery Storage Locations file. You will see a truck with a ladder that you can climb to reach the parking lot.
Now, you’ll need to navigate through the flooded and dark area, which is infested with zombies. There are plenty of trucks that can be opened to obtain ammo, so feel free to blast away. However, you can also take the sneaky approach and use Leon’s Hatchet to stealth kill them.
Navigate to the northwest area, where you will find a small building that contains the battery on a wall. Now, opposite the battery, is a ladder that leads you to the ceiling. You can now follow the ceiling’s ventilation shaft all the way along to drop back to safety.
How to Get the Second Battery in the Sewage Facility in RE9
From the Underground Parking Garage with the battery panel, head east through the Sewage Facility. With your flashlight, you can spot a hatch on the floor that leads deeper into the Sewage Facility. You will need to take this ladder down and navigate into the large open space, where you can drop down into the dusty area below.
Immediately turn around, and in the tunnel, you’ll find the Valve Handwheel. This can be attached to the wall on the opposite end, and you can open the way forward by holding X. However, doing so reveals more zombies and a Blister Borne, so you should stop using the Handwheel and start blasting.
With the enemies dead, return to the Valve Handwheel and turn it all the way to the end. This will create a bridge, which you can use to navigate through the area into a room that contains the battery. Now, unlock the door and climb up the ladder to reach the fuse box.
How to Escape the Underground Parking Garage in RE9
Now that you have both batteries, return to the fuse box in the Underground Parking Garage. You can place the two batteries that you acquired into the box, and the shutters will open, revealing the outside area. You can now take this path forward to reach the Cedarbrooks Apartments, Gas Station, and a shortcut back to the Central Camp!
