Joy Boy’s Strongest Powers So Far, Ranked

Joy Boy is one of the most significant characters in One Piece, now more so than ever before, since the story is in the Final Saga. Over the course of the last few arcs, fans have found out a great deal about Joy Boy, his exploits, and most importantly, his abilities.

Oda has given the fans a glimpse of what he is truly capable of, and now, fans know that he was a ferocious individual, as was expected from the first pirate in the history of One Piece. Joy Boy was a pirate of many skills, and the strongest of them all was enough to put fear in the bones of the World Government.

The Voice Of All Things

Joy Boy Could Hear The Voices Of Objects And Animals

One of the most interesting abilities that Joy Boy possessed was the Voice of All Things. Essentially, this power allowed Joy Boy to hear the voice of all inanimate things and even animals. Joy Boy could understand them and communicate with them. At the same time, this would also allow him to form relationships with strong individuals, such as Zunesha, or characters such as Emeth. The power of the Voice of All Things still remains unknown in One Piece. What fans know for a fact is that it can be utilized even in combat. Joy Boy had this ability figured out, and, so far, he might just be the only character to have done so in One Piece.

Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika (Basic)

Joy Boy Had A Rubbery Body

Joy Boy was a user of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. Of course, while many individuals believe that Joy Boy had these powers without eating a devil fruit, it has been confirmed in the story already that he was a user of this power. This is simply because Gorosei clearly mentioned in One Piece chapter 1044 that this Devil Fruit has not awakened in centuries. This essentially means that this Devil Fruit did awaken long ago, which also implies that this Devil Fruit existed during the Void Century and was eaten by someone, which fans now know to be Joy Boy.

Essentially, Joy Boy is confirmed to be a user of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, and, with its basic form, he could use the abilities of stretching and shrinking, and potentially use power similar to Luffy’s Gear 2, Gear 3, and Gear 4.

Devil Fruit Awakening

Joy Boy managed to awaken his Devil Fruit. Once again, this was confirmed by the Five Elders in One Piece chapter 1044. He was the last user to awaken the fruit before Luffy, and he had the same abilities as him, meaning that he was the Warrior of Liberation as well. Joy Boy had the power of Gear 5 at his disposal, which meant that he fought with immense freedom and joy, and, at the same time, his imagination was his only limitation.

This is precisely why Joy Boy was as fearsome as he was, and why the World Government feared him as deeply as they did. His true powers have not been revealed in One Piece yet, but fans will soon get a glimpse of them.

Haki

Joy Boy Possessed Tremendous Haki

Quite easily, one of the most powerful abilities that Joy Boy had at his disposal was his terrific Haki. He was a user of all three types of Haki, and the strongest of them all was most definitely Conqueror’s Haki. Joy Boy’s Haki is the greatest that fans have seen in One Piece. Recently, in the Egghead Arc, Joy Boy was shown to have sealed his strongest Haki inside of Emeth.

When Emeth unleashed this Haki, it was so powerful that it negated the Yokai powers of all Five Elders, canceled their summonings, knocked out all the Marines in the surroundings, except the Vice Admirals, and the higher ranking ones, and split the skies singularly. So far, this is the greatest Haki feat that fans have seen in the entirety of One Piece, and it is clearly on a different level altogether.

Scientific Prowess

Joy Boy Could’ve Had Scientific Powers

Most fans assumed Joy Boy to be a character with the same moveset as Luffy. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Joy Boy was from a Scientific Kingdom. In fact, he was from the most prosperous Kingdom of his time, which is even more advanced in society that exists today in the One Piece World. As such, Joy Boy’s scientific prowess must have been unmatched.

He was the one who took care of Emeth, and he knew the powers of science that he was bestowed with. Joy Boy could’ve even had a peg leg and a robotic arm, based on a silhouette. Either way, he had the power of science at his disposal, which he used in unknown ways. He even had access to the Ancient Weapons and it was he who wanted to pass them down to future generations. The Ancient Weapons can also be considered a part of his arsenal. Hopefully, when the story explores the character of Joy Boy even more, fans will find out what he utilized the power of science for.
