LEGO has officially announced its first-ever Dragon Ball set, Shenron and Goku. Featuring more than 1,700 pieces, the set is scheduled to launch in November 2026 through LEGO Stores and licensed distributors.
The reveal follows months of reports about LEGO’s plans for a new Dragon Ball line that is expected to include at least eight products. The theme itself was formally confirmed on September 23 but without any of the sets. The subsequently announced Shenron and Goku model is not among the rumored eight and will launch ahead of the rest as part of the long-running LEGO Icons theme.

LEGO’s First Dragon Ball Set Releases November 1
LEGO has now confirmed that the model is officially designated set 11390 and contains 1,764 pieces. Dragon Ball: Shenron and Goku carries an 18+ age rating and a $179.99 price tag in the United States, with LEGO Insiders getting early access on November 1 before general sales begin on November 4, as is typically the case with larger models. The finished display also includes a minifigure of a Kid Goku riding Kintoun, better known as the Flying Nimbus in English-language versions of the series.

Rather than recreating a specific location or battle, 11390 centers on a large brick-built Shenron rising above all seven Dragon Balls. The green dragon’s head and claws can be repositioned, while Kid Goku and Kintoun can be detached and moved around the display. Once assembled, the model measures more than 12.5 inches (32 cm) tall, 9.5 inches (24 cm) long, and 10 inches (26 cm) wide. LEGO insiders leaked many of these details leaked ahead of the Dragon Ball set’s official reveal. The biggest factual discrepancy concerns the piece count, which was previously reported as 1,760 but is actually 1,764. Official pricing remained uncertain until the announcement, though that was less a discrepancy than a reflection of how the LEGO rumor mill typically operates. Even so, insiders correctly predicted a price of around $200.

11390 is based specifically on the original Dragon Ball series rather than Dragon Ball Z, with LEGO saying its designers studied animation frames and recognizable poses while adapting Shenron’s long, curved body to brick form. All seven Dragon Balls are incorporated into the base, with Kid Goku being the only minifigure accompanying the model.
LEGO has officially confirmed that additional Dragon Ball sets are coming in 2027, but it has not yet announced any models beyond 11390 Shenron and Goku. According to several previous leaks, the upcoming lineup will mostly be focused on Dragon Ball Z, featuring sets like Goku vs Raditz (72361), Arrival on Namek (72362), and Frieza’s Spaceship (72365). A buildable Vegeta is also said to be part of the new theme, together with a brick-built replica of the Kame House. LEGO’s Dragon Ball theme is rumored to be targeting an April 2027 release.
