My Hero Academia Could Return With A New Project After Season 8

After an incredibly successful run, My Hero Academia’s end is edging closer and fans know that it’ll be over very soon. My Hero Academia Season 8 is currently airing, and it will mark the end of Deku’s journey, which is quite a sad day for fans of the beloved superhero franchise. With the anime of My Hero Academia ending, it is no surprise to know that fans are wondering what the next step will be for the franchise. While nothing is confirmed, many believe a new sequel movie could be in the works.

A big announcement is coming for My Hero Academia at Jump Festa, and a brand-new movie covering the events following the War, after Deku and the others became Pro Heroes, could be in the books for the series. New My Hero Academia Movie Could Cover Events After The Timeskip

If My Hero Academia does get a movie announcement during Jump Festa, this could easily be the biggest step for the franchise. While nothing is yet confirmed, a new movie would be loved by all fans, especially since it can only cover one thing, and that is content about the events following the War where Deku and the others become Pro Heroes.

Horikoshi has never shied away from doing canon anime movies. He’s worked with Studio Bones in the past. Working with Horikoshi, the studio could create a new story where Deku and the other new Pro Heroes face a big threat together. This would be the perfect opportunity for the power of adult Class 1-A to be showcased.

This movie could be where Izuku Midoriya finally reaches the rank of #1 Hero in Japan after he recently reached the rank of #4 Hero in the latest oneshot. Deku is already a great Hero, but seeing him reach the top would be incredibly fun, and that would be something fans would love to see unfold.

My Hero Academia Season 8 Special Episode 12 Could Set Up The Movie

My Hero Academia Season 8, previously believed to only have 11 episodes, has actually been revealed to have one more special episode on the way.

An OVA episode, referred to as episode 12, is coming, and it could be where the next MHA sequel movie is set up. My Hero Academia Season 8 Episode 12 might adapt MHA chapter 431, or it could do something unique and give fans new content.

The Future Of My Hero Academia After Season 8

While the sequel movie is only a rumor and nothing has been confirmed, MHA does have some other confirmed projects that are coming in the next few years.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes was a hit this year, and it will be returning with its second season in 2026. Fans are looking forward to it and more seasons could definitely follow for Vigilantes.
