New Call of Duty Gun Inspect is Absolutely Ridiculous

One of the new Mastercraft weapon skins in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone has a ridiculous gun inspection animation. Both Call of Duty titles recently released their Season 4 battle passes and new store items with tons of new Operator and gun skins, Tracer Packs, Weapon Blueprints, and more.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 introduce several new features, such as The Outlook in Downtown Verdansk, which is a gigantic skyscraper that gives players a high vertical POI to see everyone and everything on the map, which is great for shooting down sights with a sniper scope. The season’s battle passes and stores are also beefed up with over 100 new cosmetics, such as new Tracer Packs featuring Call of Duty’s Ballerina crossover with Ana de Armas’ deadly character as a playable Operator.

A Tracer Pack that Call of Duty fans should check out is the Arcade Champ Mastercraft Ultra Skin, which includes a cel-shaded “The Champ” skin for Toro and a “Combo” Mastercraft Weapon Blueprint for the returning FFAR 1 Assault Rifle. The assault rifle, in particular, apparently pulls up a whole fighting game scene when players inspect it. In a clip by thund3rCOD shared by CharlieIntel on Twitter, an “INSERT COIN” prompt appears on-screen when players inspect the gun, and a fighting robot spawns and enters an arena to duke it out with another robot. The gun then turns into a controller, which the Operator uses to punch out the robot’s opponent.

Call of Duty’s New Arcade Skin For the FFAR Assault Rifle is Unique

In the replies, Call of Duty fans are split about the arcade-themed Weapon Blueprint, with many saying they want to cop the Tracer Pack because of its unique gun inspection animation. However, others criticized Call of Duty for allegedly pouring its efforts into the gun inspection’s elaborate animation and the rest of the bundle instead of addressing Black Ops 6 and Warzone’s gameplay issues. Although Call of Duty has been patching up major issues within the games, it’s clear that many fans are still dissatisfied with how Season 4 is going so far.

Call of Duty has long received backlash for its gameplay problems in multiplayer and its other game modes, including lobby crashes, long loading times, and Black Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded causing major issues on the PS5, among many other complaints. As much as possible, the developers of the game try to deliver the best possible experience for players with regular patch updates, but the criticisms probably won’t go away anytime soon.
