Days Gone has received a major update to its graphics, allowing gamers to experience the title with stunning new visuals and a couple of other interesting features. Bend Studio originally released Days Gone in 2019 for the PlayStation 4. Since then, the title has been released for PC and recently received a full remaster for PlayStation 5.
The story of Days Gone follows Deacon St. John, portrayed by the actor Sam Witwer, as he struggles to survive in a post-apocalyptic version of the northwestern United States. After a global pandemic, the world has been left ravaged by Freakers with no real hope of a cure in sight. Throughout the course of the game, players will encounter a wide variety of these Freakers, who will often travel in hordes that pose a threat to everyone around. Gamers will need to avoid or fight these hordes in numerous locations, utilizing every tool at their disposal to survive the encounter. As he travels the open-world on his motorcycle, Deacon St. John will come across multiple factions that have each found their own way to endure this apocalyptic landscape. Not all humans are friendly, however, as gamers will regularly find themselves facing off against people in addition to Freakers.

Bend Studio has released a new update for Days Gone on Steam, which upgraded the game’s visuals dramatically. The title will now take advantage of ozone and spectral light simulations, which should improve the game’s color tone and provide a more accurate representation of the sky and sunlight when outside. Many fans felt that the graphics in Days Gone were already impressive when the title was released in 2019.
