Starting the Pioneers quest in Genshin Impact will take players to the moon. It’s the first act in the moon chapter where travelers work with Columbina to help other characters. Here’s how to solve all the puzzles in the Pioneers quest in Genshin Impact.

How To Reach The Moon In Genshin Impact

To go to the moon in Genshin Impact, open the events menu and press on the When We Look Up at the Moon tab. Press Go to be taken to the Misty Shoal waypoint. Use the Moonlanes to proceed forward and find Columbina. Once the cutscene is over, the Pioneers quest is triggered.

How To Find A Way To Activate The Energy Mechanisms

After walking around for a while, you will eventually have to find the generator room to activate it.

This is where you are introduced to a new mechanic using Archaeolune Energy.

Absorb the energy from one of the sources and use it to activate the generator.

The energy won’t flow properly as the path is broken and blocked by an energy cube.

Absorb the energy again and aim it at the cube. Once it’s there, activate it to blow the object out of the way. Step on the upper path to lower it, allowing the energy to flow forward.

Which Moon To Choose In Genshin Impact

After everything is activated, you get to choose which moon to visit. Although you can click on the Eternal Moon and Iridescent Moon, the machine responds that there are no coordinations, so the only moon you can visit is the Frost Moon.

The Frost Moon will give players three strange symbols. Remember them as they come in handy later on.

How To Verify Orbital Coordinates

Once the boss is defeated and the system initiates a self-destruct protocol, you need to answer Paimon’s questions correctly to stop it.

When she asks for the Simplest-looking one, choose the second option.

The Super Complicated one is the third option.

And the Same As The Second one is the same Super Complicated one from before.

However, Paimon messes up a little, so you need to repeat the orbital coordinates.

Find A Way To The Surface

When choosing a destination on the ship, rotate the globe until the Unigen’s Circle option appears.

Things don’t go according to plan, and you need to use the emergency evacuation pods. To find a way out to the surface, absorb the nearby energy and unleash it on the rubble to make a path out.

How To Open The Passage Door

Proceed in the Pioneers quest to eventually reach a closed passage door. Approach the sphere to spawn some energy balls down the slope.

Hit one of the ball into the pedestal to unlock the passage door.

Look For Eggie Within The Ruins

Puzzle #1

While looking for Eggie, you will encounter some puzzles in Genshin Impact. The first is to place three energy balls on the pedestal to activate the machine, thus unlocking a door. If you look down, the missing third ball is located on a lower floor.

Push the ball into the Launcher and activate it to throw the ball up.

Push it onto the open pedestal and activate the machine to unlock the door.

Puzzle #2

The second puzzle is related to a Statis Module. It’s a machine that locks an item and moves it around. To solve the puzzle in Genshin Impact, look up and absorb the energy from the machine itself to turn it off, releasing the ball.

Proceed inside the room and defeat the enemies. Choose any of the balls and move it to the pedestal.

How To Complete Pioneers Quest In Genshin Impact

Follow the quest mark outside and use the launcher to go higher until you reach the top. The quest is completed, and you get the Blue Moon achievement in Genshin Impact. The second act will start soon after.
