If there’s one thing that fans of the Naruto series are waiting to see in Boruto, it is the return of their beloved Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Fans know Naruto to be an absolutely incredible ninja, strong enough to beat the vast majority of enemies he comes up against, but more than that, he is an iconic character who’s an inspiration to many. Naruto Uzumaki is one of the most influential characters in all of anime, let alone the Naruto franchise, so it doesn’t come as a shock to see fans on the edge, waiting for his return in Boruto and for his legacy to be honored.

Unfortunately, as things stand, Naruto Uzumaki won’t be back anytime soon, and this is quite clear when one looks at what Ikemoto has been setting up with the Boruto series. Despite fans actively demanding the return of the Seventh Hokage, the Boruto series has said its goodbye to him for now, and instead, they have started to turn their focus on a different ninja also known to be the strongest, but not half as iconic, and that’s Naruto’s very own son, Boruto Uzumaki.

In the absence of Naruto Uzumaki, someone has to stand as the strongest ninja against the threat of the Otsutsuki. Naturally, the most obvious answer would be Sasuke Uchiha.

But in a rather surprising turn of events, fans were absolutely shocked to learn that Sasuke too has been temporarily incapacitated in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex series. Now that both of these ninjas have been taken out, one can only turn their eyes to the next generation of ninjas, and out of them, the new strongest is none other than Boruto Uzumaki.

Boruto Uzumaki is an absolute monster now after the timeskip, known to be strong enough to fight capably against even the likes of Otsutsuki. His training with Sasuke Uchiha and Kashin Koji has made him a dependable shinobi on whose shoulders the fate of the entire world now rests. Boruto Uzumaki can take on and defeat the likes of Code in battle, and he can even fight and potentially even surpass Jura. Out of all those ninjas who are considered strong right now, Boruto Uzumaki truly stands out due to his immense basic capabilities and the fact that he’s now made a pact with Momoshiki too. In Naruto’s absence, Boruto is definitely the strongest ninja alive.

Naruto Will Eventually Return In Boruto

Fans Hope For A New Naruto Power-Up

While fans are certainly enjoying the journey of Boruto Uzumaki, they also know that eventually, Naruto Uzumaki will return. After the Shinju have been dealt with and the potential threat of Akebi Otsutsuki is out of the way, the series will likely focus on Boruto Uzumaki Vs Kawaki. Naruto’s return should be after this battle, and then, fans can only hope that Ikemoto and Kishimoto don’t ruin his legacy any further.

Naruto Uzumaki should receive a new power-up in the Boruto series, not because he’s a fan favorite, but because he’s been nerfed so much that he absolutely deserves it. If Naruto is to be relevant in any way in the future, he needs new powers and fans hope that he gets just that after he’s unsealed.
