The Adventures of Elliot Desert Caves Walkthrough

The Desert Caves is a dungeon in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales that has a different layout in each of the game’s four ages. While the Desert Caves in the Age of Reconstruction has the most items to collect, players will need to visit the dungeon in every age if they are going for 100% completion.

It also explains how to reach every chest and collectible in the Desert Caves, including Magicite Fragments, a cat, a Shard of Life, and a Bomb Pouch.

Desert Caves Walkthrough – Age of Reconstruction

Enter the Desert Caves in the Age of Reconstruction to arrive on the First Level. Go into the first room, then follow the path on the left all the way to a room in the top-left corner of the floor, where you will see a red orb.

You will trigger a combat encounter, which raises a gate, when you enter this room, and you must defeat all the enemies to lower the gate and create a sinkhole. After the fight, use Faie’s Vacuum ability to collect the orb and take it all the way back to the entrance.

Back at the entrance, place the orb on the blue circle near the gate to lower it. Then, follow the path beyond that gate all the way to the end. Defeat all the enemies that appear to create another sinkhole, then drop into it to fall to Sublevel One.

Once you land, open the chest on your left to get a Blue Desert Caves Key. With the key in hand, drop from the ledge just right of the chest, then follow the path left until you see a chest above you. Drop to that chest, and open it to claim 20 Magicite Fragments.

Descend the stairs next to the chest. Then, follow the path to the right, drop from the ledge at the end, and climb another set of stairs. Drop from yet another ledge and climb one final flight of stairs to return to the entrance of the Desert Caves.

Now, make your way back to the room in the top-left corner, where you first collected the orb, and fall into the sinkhole. Jump onto the platform below you and head down. You will see a chest behind a barrier on your right about halfway down this platform, and you should send Faie through the barrier and use Warp to reach it. This chest holds 320 Tul.

Once you have opened that chest, return to the platform that you were just on, go all the way down, and jump to the platform on the left. Use the Blue Desert Caves Key to pass through the blue door, then fall into the sinkhole beyond it.

At the bottom, you will see a breakable wall on your right. Place a bomb, grab it with Faie’s Vacuum ability, and hold it near the breakable wall until it explodes. This strategy keeps the quicksand from moving the bomb away from the wall, and the large red chest beyond it has the Red Desert Caves Key.

You can now fall from the edge across from where the breakable wall was and go right to find a chest with 30 Magicite Fragments. Head up from that chest until you reach the stairs you descended after collecting the 20 Magicite Fragments, and repeat the same steps from earlier to return to the entrance to the Desert Caves.

Head back to the room in the top-left corner, where you found the orb, and drop into the sinkhole one more time. Travel down the platform below you, but this time jump to the platform on your right at the bottom. Maneuver around the large sinkhole to continue along the narrow path to the right, then drop into the sinkhole at the end.

You are now just to the right of the door that is opened with the Red Desert Caves Key, and you should jump across the platform to reach it. Beyond the door, you will find Turbo Rathomobile, and a large red chest with a Bomb Pouch, which increases the number of bombs Elliot can carry by 10, is accessible after beating that boss.

The Age of Safekeeping version of the Desert Caves is very short. Simply enter the dungeon, go into the first room, and drop into the sinkhole. Loot the chest at the bottom to get 160 Tul.

Desert Caves Walkthrough – Age of Magic

Enter the Desert Caves in the Age of Magic, then follow the path all the way to the right to find an orb. Use Faie’s Vacuum ability to bring that orb back to the entrance room, and place it near the blue circle on the ground to lower the gate.

Head into the next room and follow the path left to find a floor plate with an orange pattern on it. Step on the floor plate to reveal a new sinkhole, which you should now drop into.

When you land, open the chest on your right to get 3-star Tremors magicite. After collecting it, drop from the ledge to the right of the chest and follow the path up and to the right.

At the end of the path, you will see a cat on a platform to your right. Send Faie to that platform, then use Warp to reach the cat.

Desert Caves Walkthrough – Age of Budding

Enter the Desert Caves in the Age of Budding, then jump across the platform on your left. Follow the path and fall into the sinkhole at the end.

After falling, jump across the platforms up and to your left, then descend the stairs. There is a chest at the bottom that contains a Shard of Life.
