Some Marvel Rivals heroes are great on paper, with abilities to play offense, defense, and everything in between. But when it comes to actually living up to the hype, they are a huge disappointment to players. That’s why it’s important to know Marvel Rivals characters that can actually win fights.

Marvel Rivals Tier List (Best Marvel Rivals Characters, Ranked)

With 33 heroes at launch, Marvel Rivals has many characters to choose from to try and win games. Here are all the heroes ranked best to worst.

This piece ranks the eight heroes with the strongest win rates. Characters rise or fall in these rankings based on consistent performance in actual play, not on marketing or popularity alone. When a character stays effective across many matches, the win rate goes up. That means players have found ways to use that character’s abilities, movement, and role to secure objectives and victories more often than losses. These numbers come from large collections of match results gathered by Marvel Rivals.

Rocket Raccoon

Win Rate: 53.72%

Strategist who keeps teammates alive longer, brings them back when they fall, and boosts their damage output.

Rocket is hard to pin down.

Rocket Raccoon is easily one of the most underrated heroes in Marvel Rivals for how often he wins. As a Strategist, Rocket doesn’t rely on getting eliminations himself. He just keeps teammates alive longer, brings them back when they fall, and boosts their damage output. His Repair Mode lets him fire bouncing healing orbs that restore health over time to nearby allies, and those orbs can ricochet off surfaces to reach teammates even when they’re out of sight.

He also increases his team’s overall power, not just their survivability. His ultimate, C.Y.A., boosts damage for nearby allies while continuously generating bonus health, making his team both stronger and harder to kill during key moments. At the same time, Rocket is hard to pin down. He can wall-crawl, use a jetpack to reposition, and stay out of danger while supporting from safe angles.

7

Mantis

Win Rate: 53.80%

A strategist who supports with healing, buffs, and team survivability.

Fires projectiles that deal damage while contributing to her overall support output.

Mantis consistently leads to wins because her kit is built around keeping teammates alive for longer periods while still contributing damage. Her Healing Flower provides continuous healing over time. Teams with Mantis don’t fall apart easily in extended fights. Even when enemies apply pressure, her steady healing keeps allies in the fight longer than expected, which often turns losing engagements into recoverable ones.

Marvel Rivals has launched and already some characters, such as the Punisher and Iron Fist have frustrated members of the community.

As one of the best Strategists, her impact goes beyond healing. Mantis also provides mobility and survivability buffs that directly improve team performance. Her Nature’s Favor grants movement boosts that don’t disappear instantly, allowing teammates to reposition more safely even after taking damage. Teams supported by Mantis simply last longer, move better, and recover faster.

6

Hulk

Win Rate: 53.91%

Vanguard is built for durability, disruption, and team protection.

Lands heavy blows that deal steady close-range damage.

Hulk is hard to kill, he’s constantly disruptive, and always contributing, whether by soaking damage, protecting teammates, or smashing through enemy lines. He is great at landing heavy blows, but that’s just the beginning. He has access to ranged pressure through Gamma Burst, giving him a way to contribute even when targets are slightly out of reach. This mix of melee and ranged options ensures he’s almost never useless in a fight. He’s either dealing damage up close or still applying pressure from a distance.

Hulk is good at crowd control, thanks to Radioactive Lockdown, which can immobilize enemies and shut down their abilities temporarily, making them easy targets for follow-ups. On top of that, Incredible Leap lets him jump across the battlefield, chase targets, or dive into key fights instantly. And Hero Hulk is one of the healthiest Marvel Rivals heroes, so it would take a lot to put him down.

5

Magik

Win Rate: 54.43%

Duelist who deals in the dark arts.

Melee combat with an arc blade.

Once Magik gets going, she becomes harder to kill, more mobile, and more lethal at the same time. Players who understand when to engage and how to chain her abilities can completely take over fights, and that level of impact naturally translates into higher win rates.

Magik even has the ability to convert the damage she deals into bonus health. That means the more pressure she applies, the harder she becomes to eliminate. In fights where she’s consistently landing hits, she effectively sustains herself without relying on a healer. This makes her extremely dangerous in close-range engagements, especially when she dives into the backline and keeps chaining attacks.

4

Mister Fantastic

Win Rate: 55.93%

Duelist with good flexibility.

Extends his arms to hit enemies from range, capable of striking multiple opponents at once.

Mister Fantastic’s abilities are built around stretching and repositioning, letting him pressure enemies from unexpected angles without over‑committing. Even though he’s tagged as a Duelist, his tools make him feel very resilient, almost tank‑like, compared to most other damage dealers. His passive (Elastic Strength) builds up elasticity as he hits enemies with attacks and abilities, and once it fills, he enters an inflated state that grants significant health and increased damage output. That extra buffer means he can survive longer in fights than many other Duelists, giving him more time to contribute to objectives and follow up on team engagements.

Beyond just raw health, he has multiple ways to mitigate or reverse incoming damage. His Reflexive Rubber ability lets him absorb hundreds of damage and then fire it back as a projectile, absorbing not only basic hits but even some ultimates. In addition, Flexible Elongation can be used both offensively and defensively, grabbing an enemy to deal damage or boosting an ally with bonus health. This makes him a threat while also helping his team survive close fights.

3

Storm

Win Rate: 56.07%

Duelist who also boosts her team through weather-based abilities.

Fires fast, piercing wind projectiles that pass through enemies and deal consistent ranged damage.

For some reason, Storm rarely gets picked by players, and that’s weird because she’s one of the most powerful Duelists in Marvel Rivals. Storm wins games by doing two things at once: empowering her team and disrupting the enemy team at the same time. Her Weather Control ability lets her switch between two powerful buffs: one increases movement speed, while the other boosts damage for both herself and nearby allies.

Every fight Storm’s involved in becomes more favorable for her team. Faster movement helps with repositioning and dodging, while the damage boost makes coordinated attacks hit harder. Teams that stay within her range naturally perform better, which directly contributes to higher win outcomes. She also becomes extremely dangerous during certain moments because of her ultimate, Omega Hurricane. This ability pulls enemies inward, while dealing heavy damage over time, effectively controlling space and punishing grouped opponents.

2

Peni Parker

Win Rate: 56.38%

Fights with a mech called SP//dr

Releases rapid-fire web projectiles from SP//dr that apply constant pressure and control space.

Peni Parker doesn’t get picked a lot. For those who pick her, there’s a high chance she will turn the tide in their favor. Peni Parker’s strength, and a big reason she consistently wins games, comes from how much control she brings to the battlefield. Her abilities revolve around creating and fighting within Cyber-Web zones, which enhance her effectiveness while restricting enemy movement.

Marvel Rivals: 20 Best DPS Characters, Ranked

Damage per second is important for creating a good team in Marvel Rivals, with characters such as Wolverine and The Punisher providing such damage.

Her value goes even further because those webs don’t just help her; they support the entire team. Allies inside her Cyber-Webs gain healing over time and movement speed bonuses, which directly increase chances of survival during fights. Another major reason behind her strong win rate is how well she fits into team compositions. She has multiple team-up synergies, like boosting Spider-Man with new abilities or gaining extra health when acting as the anchor.

1

Ultron

Win Rate: 57.80%

Strategist with high-impact support with strong healing, utility, and damage.

Low pick rate, but very powerful character.

A lot of players are sleeping on Ultron because he has one of the lowest pick rates of all Marvel Rivals heroes, but he has the highest win rate. Ultron’s high win rate comes down to how much value he provides at the same time. His abilities allow him to heal teammates consistently while still dealing meaningful damage, which is a major advantage in a team-based shooter.

On top of that, Ultron is not stuck on the ground like most supports. His permanent flight and mobility tools give him a strong positioning advantage, letting him stay safe while still contributing. From the air, he can heal allies, pressure enemies with his beam, and quickly reposition using his dash. His ultimate ability pushes this even further by deploying multiple drones that both damage enemies and heal teammates at the same time, turning fights heavily in his team’s favor when used correctly.
