Exploration plays a huge role in Directive 8020, especially when it comes to finding collectibles and hidden interactable objects scattered throughout the game. Many of these Secrets are tucked away behind optional paths, locked doors, or puzzles that require players to carefully search their surroundings.
Directive 8020 also features several codes tied to either story progression or collectible rewards. Since these locks are usually hidden extremely well, figuring them out can become frustrating and waste a lot of time, which is why the guide below has everything you need.

How To Solve The Anomaly Log Number Lock in Directive 8020?
While playing as Cernon during the Radio Silence section in Episode 5, players can find multiple Secrets and Simms Recordings hidden around the area. One of these Secrets is locked behind a terminal located just above the stairs where the section begins. Interacting with it reveals that an Anomaly Log number is required to open the lock.
Now, if you are anything like me, you probably went through every video recording and datapad available up to this point, trying to find a clue. Surprisingly, the solution is much simpler than that. Instead of searching through menus, go through the doors next to the locked terminal and head toward the cockpit.
As you enter the cockpit and grab the Secret on the right side, look toward the left side of the room. Next to the chair, further left, sitting on the console, is a note mentioning the letters “CAIF.” At first, this might seem confusing since the lock requires numbers rather than letters.
The solution is to convert each letter into its numerical position in the alphabet:
This turns CAIF into 3196. You can now return to the locked terminal, enter the code, and open the door. Behind the lock is the Orbital Oddities Secret, bringing you one step closer to collecting every Secret in the game.
