One straphanger was slashed and another shoved to the subway tracks in a Midtown confrontation with two other men at the 57th St. station on the F line, police said.
The 39-year-old slash victim was cut on his hand while the other victim, 37, was banged up with bumps and bruises, including to his left elbow. Both were treated for their injuries at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Weill Center.
The attackers — one wearing a ski mask and purple jacket, the other an orange jacket — fled the scene. Police have released surveillance photos of the suspects to the media.
The assault happened just past 11 p.m. Saturday when the victims, waiting for an F train on the downtown platform, were confronted by the men.
The four got into an argument that quickly turned physical, police said, though it wasn’t clear if the victims knew their attackers.
As the suspects took off, the victim shoved to the tracks was able to climb back onto the platform on his own, police said.
