Pure-blooded Saiyans are some of the most powerful beings in the Dragon Ball universe, but they’re nothing compared to the raw potential and talent of Hybrid Saiyans. When an Earthling and a Saiyan have a child together, their baby is born a Hybrid Saiyan. By mixing Saiyan DNA with human DNA, Hybrid Saiyans are somehow able to reach even greater heights than regular Saiyans without half as much effort.

Dragon Ball: 8 Strongest Versions of Goku in the Multiverse, Ranked
Between the manga, anime, movies, GT, DAIMA, and Super Dragon Ball Heroes, there are countless versions of Goku – each one stronger than the last.
Hybrids are so strong that, in Dragon Ball Z, Vegeta says that “mixing Saiyan and Earthling blood begets a powerful hybrid, to which Nappa responds with, “A Super Saiyan, eh…?” – marking the first mention of Super Saiyans in the Dragon Ball franchise. As seen with characters like Gohan and Future Trunks, Hybrid Saiyans have overwhelmingly strong Power Levels that Goku & Vegeta can just barely keep up with through non-stop training.

Bulla Has No Interest in Training or Fighting
Bulla naturally has a lot of potential being Vegeta’s daughter, especially since she was conceived long after Vegeta had already unlocked Super Saiyan (and Super Saiyan 2). That said, she has absolutely no interest in training. In Dragon Ball Z’s Peaceful World Saga, she’s more than happy to sit out the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai (unlike Pan) and she grows up to be relatively spoiled in Dragon Ball GT.
Bulla is still very young in Dragon Ball Super, so time will tell if she follows in her GT counterpart’s footsteps, but all signs point to her preferring a peaceful life (especially since even Trunks starts slacking off as a teenager). The 3DS JRPG Dragon Ball Fusions gives Bulla a Power Ranking of C, which puts her on the same level as characters like Yamcha and Chiaotzu.

Pan Has More Potential Than Any Saiyan Alive – But She’s Still Only 3
Pan didn’t get to live up to her full potential in Dragon Ball GT, or even turn Super Saiyan, but Dragon Ball Super is making an effort to fix her reputation. At just three years old, Pan is already being personally trained by Piccolo and is described as having far more potential and talent than Gohan. She’s also inherited Goku’s fighting spirit, implying she’ll keep up with her martial arts training unlike her father.
In Dragon Ball Z’s Peaceful World Saga, Pan is even strong enough to defeat Goten in the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai. She’ll likely have to sit out the Black Frieza Saga on account of being too young, but Dragon Ball Super keeps the story going after Goku flies off with Uub, Pan could grow up into the strongest Hybrid Saiyan in history.

Vegeta Jr. is Only 1/16th Saiyan
Vegeta Jr. is the great-great-grandson of Vegeta and only appears in Dragon Ball GT Episode 64, during the final match of the 64th Tenkaichi Budokai. Being so far removed from the Prince of All Saiyans, Vegeta Jr. is only 1/16 Saiyan and has minimal Saiyan DNA. That said, even this small amount is enough for Vegeta Jr. to be able to turn Super Saiyan.
That alone makes Vegeta Jr. stronger than Pan (for now), but he’s still not that impressive in the grand scheme of things. Vegeta Jr. is equally matched by Goku Jr. and the tournament audience can keep up with their movements just fine, implying that they’re even weaker than Krillin was all the way back in the original Dragon Ball.

There are dozens of Super Saiyan forms, each stronger than the last – but not every Saiyan has the power to make use of their race’s strongest forms.

Goku Jr.’s Feats Aren’t Much Better Than Kid Goku’s
Goku Jr. is the main character of Dragon Ball GT: A Hero’s Legacy and briefly appears at the end of Dragon Ball GT Episode 64 to fight Vegeta Jr. in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Like Vegeta Jr., Goku Jr. is strong enough to turn Super Saiyan, but his feats are honestly nothing to write home about.
Goku Jr.’s biggest achievement is defeating Lord Yao, who’s only slightly more powerful than the average human. Kid Goku was already much stronger than most adult humans in Dragon Ball, and capable of keeping up with master martial artists, so Goku Jr. is – at best – about as strong as Goku was during the Red Ribbon Army Saga, even as a Super Saiyan.

Future Gohan Died With a Power Level of Around 150,000,000
Future Gohan is far and away the most tragic character in the Dragon Ball franchise. In his timeline, Goku died before he could ever train Gohan after coming back from Namek. In Gohan’s mind, Super Saiyan Goku was the peak of power and there was no way he could ever surpass his father. It’s heavily implied that Future Gohan was only as strong as Super Saiyan Goku was during the Frieza Saga.
This means that Future Gohan died with a Power Level of around 150,000,000 – which is stronger than Frieza, but nowhere near powerful enough to handle the Androids. Future Gohan ultimately dies fighting in one of his best battles, leaving Future Trunks to take care of their timeline once the Androids effortlessly kill him.
5
Goten Was Already as Strong as Gohan When He Was a Kid
Goten has squandered virtually all of his potential in Dragon Ball Super, but he was introduced with a lot of promise in Dragon Ball Z. In the Majin Buu Saga, Goten was already strong enough to rival Gohan in Power Level. By just training with Chichi, Goten also became the youngest Super Saiyan in history. There’s a reason Goku believed Goten & Trunks had what it takes to beat Majin Buu.
Unfortunately, as Goten grows up, he becomes more interested in girls and superheroes than actually training. He can’t even turn Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (which the manga mercifully retcons). By Dragon Ball Z’s Peaceful World Saga, Goten is so weak, even Pan is strong enough to beat him in the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament.
4
Trunks is Slightly Older Than Goten & Slightly Stronger
By virtue of being one year older than Goten, Trunks is slightly stronger than his rival, albeit not by much. It’s also heavily implied that he’s regressed enough in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero for him and Goten to now be on the exact same level power-wise. If Trunks cared about training, he could become one of the most powerful fighters in the multiverse, as evidenced by Future Trunks’ massive gains.
Like Goten, Trunks cannot turn Super Saiyan anymore in the Dragon Ball Super anime continuity, and has even forgotten how to properly do the Fusion Dance. The Dragon Ball Super manga treats him better by at least making him the main character of the Super Hero Saga, but that doesn’t quite make up for how far Trunks has fallen off since his childhood.

Gotenks Was the Third Strongest Z-Fighters at the End of Dragon Ball Z
Gotenks has fallen off ever since Dragon Ball introduced God Ki, but back in the day, he was one of the most powerful characters in the series. At the end of Dragon Ball Z, Gotenks was the third-strongest Z-Fighter, behind only Ultimate Gohan and Super Saiyan Vegito. Super Saiyan Gotenks was even stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Goku, and SSJ3 Gotenks could have easily killed Super Buu.
Even though Goten and Trunks have forgotten how to fuse properly, Fat Gotenks actually managed to hurt Cell Max in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, suggesting he’s still extremely powerful. If the boys master fusion again and start training again, Gotenks could very easily catch up to his fathers and be a force to be reckoned with. As a fusion, Gotenks has more natural potential than just about any Hybrid.
2
Future Trunks Mastered Super Saiyan 2 & Unlocked Super Saiyan Rage With No Help
Future Trunks is who Trunks could be if he actually cared about training, and one of the strongest Saiyans in the series, Hybrid or otherwise. Just by training with Gohan, Future Trunks was able to grow as strong as Super Saiyan Goku was on Namek. By Dragon Ball Super, Future Trunks has trained so hard, he managed to unlock Super Saiyan 2 and defeat Dabura, making him stronger than Super Perfect Cell. In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Future Trunks actually masters Super Saiyan 2, making him stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Goku, forcing Goku to use Super Saiyan God to beat him.
By the end of the Dragon Ball Super anime, Future Trunks unlocks Super Saiyan Rage, a version of the Super Saiyan Blue transformation that makes him strong and fast enough to defeat Fused Zamasu – a villain even SSB Goku and Vegeta couldn’t beat by themselves. Had Future Trunks stayed in the main timeline, he could have gone on to become one of Universe 7’s best fighters in the Tournament of Power. Future Trunks’ gains are especially impressive since he has no one to train with him in his timeline. Everything he achieves is through sheer force of will alone.

Gohan is Officially Stronger Than Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku
Gohan is not only the strongest Hybrid Saiyan in Dragon Ball, he’s currently the strongest Z-Fighter after unlocking Gohan Beast at the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. In the Dragon Ball Super manga, the Super Hero Saga continues for a few more chapters as Gohan deals with the remnants of the Red Ribbon Army and visits Beerus’ Planet to spar with Goku.
Gohan Beast is so powerful, he actually knocks Goku out of Perfected Ultra Instinct, effectively beating his father in a fight. From there, Gohan successfully fights and defeats Broly, Vegeta, Goten, and Trunks in a battle royale, proving himself the strongest warrior. Whis even suggests that Gohan has enough power to become Universe 7’s God of Destruction. Gohan is the absolute peak of what a Hybrid Saiyan can achieve, and currently the Z-Fighters’ best shots as taking down Black Frieza once and for all.
