7 One Piece Characters Who Will Get Major Power Ups After Elbaf

The Elbaf Arc of One Piece is here and fans are thoroughly enjoying the journey so far. As the final battle of the Elbaf arc is set up, fans know well that Oda is also setting up exciting events to come after the arc as well. While that means a lot of exciting lore and possibly major wars beginning, it also means that many beloved characters will finally see their stories progress in exciting directions, allowing them to gain major power-ups in the process.

Nami

The Cat Burglar, Nami is an incredibly exciting character that fans know is quite powerful. However, for a Yonko officer, Nami is not near the required level. Egghead did not give Nami much of a role and she’s hardly gotten involved in any combat in Elbaf so far.

However, post-Elbaf is going to be huge for her. While there is not much that implies Nami is going to be a focal point after the arc, it is time for the whole crew to step up, especially someone on the weaker end like Nami, which means that she could be in for a treat in the upcoming arc of the story.

Robin

Nico Robin is one of the strongest officers of the Straw Hat Pirates, with a bounty of 930 million berries. Robin is a force to be reckoned with, but, despite her high bounty and incredibly powerful Devil Fruit, she actually does not possess Haki, which is baffling, to say the least. After Elbaf, Robin will have to further her skills even more, especially if she wants to ensure that Luffy ends up becoming the Pirate King.

Her fighting capabilities need more focus, and hopefully, fans will get to see her shine soon enough.

Koby

Koby, also known as the Hero of the Marines, is a character who Oda will likely focus on after the Elbaf arc of One Piece wraps up. While Oda didn’t explicitly state that Koby will be involved, he has already clarified that he intends to take the fans all over the world of One Piece in the Final Saga. This implies that Koby and many other One Piece characters will be under the spotlight even if they are not with the Straw Hats.

Koby will have his moments here and there in the upcoming arc, and given that he is the future of the Navy, he has to grow significantly. Koby could receive a major Haki power-up especially given his recent development in the story.

Boa Hancock

Boa Hancock is a character that absolutely needs to enter the fray in One Piece now. Hancock is an incredibly strong character, and her bounty certainly goes to show for it. However, a major issue that fans have with her is that she never gets involved in the story in major ways, especially not since the series underwent a timeskip.Now is the time for Hancock to join the main cast, and if she does, then fans could see her gain major power-ups, such as the ability to infuse Conqueror’s Haki.

Smoker

Smoker is one of the most neglected characters in the post-timeskip of One Piece, which is very sad for many fans. He was recently seen towards the end of the Egghead Arc, and this has given fans some hope about major involvement from him.

Smoker will end up playing a big role in One Piece soon enough, and that essentially means that he could be getting a major power-up as well. For Smoker, the power-up could come in any way, such as Devil Fruit Awakening, or a Haki bloom.

Usopp

Of course, when it comes to Elbaf, Usopp is a character who will likely shine at some point, and that means fans should expect great things from him after the arc as well. Usopp recently awakened Observation Haki, but this power of his has not been developed since then.

Fans will likely see his Haki evolve in the Elbaf Arc, which means that post-Elbaf, he will potentially gain the ability to utilize Armament Haki, or maybe even Conqueror’s Haki.

Monkey D. Luffy

Of course, the protagonist of the series, Luffy is likely going to continue to get power-ups both in and after Elbaf. Luffy is already a Yonko and very strong, but he still needs to grow stronger if he is to defeat the Elders, Imu, and many other powerful individuals that he is going to face.

Luffy’s Devil Fruit is already at its peak, which means any power-up he gets is going to be the Haki department. Fans recently got to see Joy Boy’s Haki capabilities, and given that Luffy is nowhere near that level, he could take time to upgrade his Haki even further and become stronger, both in and after Elbaf.
