An MTA employee was savagely beaten inside a Queens subway station, and the NYPD is hunting his attacker, cops said Friday.
The 51-year-old transit worker was standing on the southbound E train platform at the 71st Ave. subway station in Forest Hills when the suspect approached him and the pair began arguing around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, according to law enforcement.
The dispute came to a head when the suspect suddenly attacked the victim, repeatedly punching him in the face, said police.
Medics rushed the victim to Presbyterian Queens Hospital for treatment.

Cops released an image of the suspect last seen fleeing aboard a southbound E train and are asking the public’s help in tracking him down.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
