A new report from a trusted LEGO insider claims four unannounced Pokemon sets previously rumored for summer 2026 were delayed to 2027, with fresh details surfacing for three of them. The unofficial update marks the first LEGO Pokemon theme leak since the Zinnia minifigure from the (now-official) Rayquaza set was sighted online in early July 2026.
The reported delay traces back to a late-December 2025 leak outlining 10 Pokemon sets that LEGO was said to be preparing for a summer 2026 launch. Exactly half of the batch carried 721xx product numbers, while all 10 were described as part of the Danish toymaker’s new Smart Play line introduced in early 2026. Most of the leak—which originated from the ever-vigilant Brick Tap community—ultimately materialized, with only four of its products still waiting for an official reveal as of August 2026. According to some newly surfaced info, their wait will continue for a while yet.

LEGO Reportedly Delays 4 Pokemon Sets Originally Planned for 2026
All 4 Are Said to Be Smart Play Models
Longtime LEGO leaker A Clay Brick reports that Scorbunny, Raboot, Cinderace, Croagunk, Larvitar, Vaporeon, Flareon, and Riolu are among the pocket monsters expected to appear in a 2027 wave of Smart Play sets. All eight are believed to belong to one of the four Smart Play products from the 2025 holiday season leak that remain unannounced as of today. In other words, those remaining sets “ended up being 2027 instead of 2026,” A Clay Brick wrote in an August 9 Instagram Story.

Unannounced
Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace are explicitly named as part of the set. Reportedly delayed to 2027.
Stadium Bus (w/ Larvitar and Croagunk)
Unannounced
The bus reportedly has a removable stadium on its back. Reportedly delayed to 2027.
Eevee Evolution
Unannounced
Flareon and Vaporeon are now explicitly associated with the set. Reportedly delayed to 2027.
Dojo House and Riolu
Unannounced
Reportedly delayed to 2027.
Mewtwo Lab is an important exception when distinguishing the late 2025 leak from the purported 2027 holdovers. Although it was one of the five concepts that lacked a product number in December, it ultimately materialized as part of LEGO’s August 2026 Pokemon wave as 72163 Smart Play: Mewtwo’s Lab Break. Its fate shows that the absence of a product number in the original report did not, by itself, indicate that a given set had been delayed.

Scorbunny Evolution has received the most substantial character update of the four remaining models. The December 2025 leak identified the set but did not name Raboot or Cinderace, leaving their presence to be inferred from its evolution theme. A Clay Brick’s latest report now explicitly links both Pokemon to the model alongside Scorbunny. Eevee Evolution has received a similar update: earlier reports did not establish its Eeveelution lineup, while the new information associates Flareon and Vaporeon with the set. Whether any other Eeveelutions are included remains unclear.
The latest report adds little to the rumored “Dojo House and Riolu” set beyond its apparent 2027 timing. Conversely, the Stadium Bus model received a more concrete update: although Larvitar and Croagunk were already associated with the set, A Clay Brick now says the vehicle will feature a removable stadium on its back. LEGO’s Smart Play line has faced severe geographical restrictions since its January 2026 launch, appearing in only six countries so far. That amounts to less than 5% of LEGO’s global market coverage, based on the fine print of a March 2026 press release stating that the company’s products are sold in “more than 120 countries worldwide.”
