A Destiny 2 player creates Wraith costume using Hunter armor parts and shaders.
Players praise the accurate recreation of Wraith’s appearance in Destiny 2.
A creative Destiny 2 player brought the teleporting antics of Apex Legends hero Wraith to the defense of The Last City, in the form of a customized costume based on the character. Created using relatively accessible armor parts and shaders belonging to the Destiny 2 Hunter class, the costume accurately recreates one of Wraith’s signature skins.
Though many fans are commenting on the troubles and prospects of Bungie’s Marathon, the studio’s upcoming extraction shooter, there’s still plenty of life and activity surrounding Destiny 2. As part of a franchise that’s more than a decade old, Destiny 2 helped define live-service shooters. The game still has a massive, if somewhat diminished, population of loyal players that, with hundreds or even thousands of hours invested in the game, enjoys playing the latest content and customizing its characters. The huge selection of armor and color shaders makes for fertile ground to grow interesting cosplay concepts from.

Destiny 2 Teases Big Changes to Exotic Weapons and Armor
May 6 aims to be a big day for Destiny 2 with Bungie revealing upcoming sandbox changes including tweaks to exotic gear in a new update.
One of those new cosplay concepts came from Destiny 2 player BokChoiSpicyBoi, who shared a tribute to Apex Legends character Wraith with the DestinyFashion Reddit community. Using parts meant for a Hunter, BokChoiSpicyBoi brought Wraith’s special “Voidwalker” skin to life as a Guardian. Originally launched in 2019 alongside a Town Takeover event based on Wraith, the Voidwalker skin showcases Wraith’s almost otherworldly abilities and has a particular aesthetic synergy with Destiny 2’s fully armored equipment sets.
Voidwalker Wraith Destiny 2 Costume Brings an Apex Legend to Life in Bungie’s Shooter
Destiny 2 Voidwalker Wraith Hunter Costume Parts
Head – Limitless Subversion Casque (Nebula Rose Shader)
Arms – Luxe Sleeves (Regal Daring Shader)
Chest – Prodigal Vest (Rivalry Resolute Shader)
Legs – Lucky Pants Exotic Legs (Luck of the Draw Ornament, Rivalry Resolute Shader)
Class Item – Covert Ranger Cloak (Abyssinian Gold Shader)
The most distinctive part of Wraith’s Voidwalker skin is its almost skeletal bodysuit and harness pattern and opaque purple helmet. BokChoiSpicyBoi selected a series of parts designed to match the pattern for their male Hunter, customizing them in the Destiny 2 transmog system. The outfit itself relies heavily on a coordinated aesthetic, with the centerpieces provided by careful coloration of pieces like the premium Luxe Sleeves and the hoodless look from the Covert Ranger Cloak. Though demonstrated on a male Hunter, the outfit pattern closely matches Wraith’s suit, almost down to the shade of purple used for the helmet visor.
Players heavily praised BokChoiSpicyBoi for “perfectly” matching Wraith’s appearance, with some players vowing to “steal this look” for their own Hunter costumes. One player that was less familiar with the Apex Legends Voidwalker event expressed faux-confusion at the use of “Voidwalker” to describe a Hunter costume, since in Destiny 2, “Voidwalker” is also the name of a popular Warlock subclass.
