If you missed out on the previous McDonald’s Fries Shield, there’s another free one for Monopoly GO players to grab. The McDonald’s Fry Guard Shield is a limited-time shield skin based on the fast food chain’s famous fries.
It has a slightly different look from the McDonald’s Fries Shield that players may remember from the previous collaboration, making it a nice addition for anyone who likes collecting exclusive shields. The best part is that you do not need to complete an event, spend dice, or purchase anything in Monopoly GO to get it.

How to Get the McDonald’s Fry Guard Shield in Monopoly GO
The new Fry Guard Shield is a separate collectible from the older Fries Shield. If you already claimed the previous McDonald’s shield, you can still add the new Fry Guard to your collection. Both designs are based on the familiar McDonald’s fries container, so they can easily be confused at first glance.
Getting the Fry Guard Shield is quite simple because Scopely is giving it away through a special Monopoly GO reward link. The reward was added on October 6, 2026, as part of Scopely’s renewed collaboration with McDonald’s.
Follow these steps to add the free Fry Guard Shield to your Monopoly GO collection:
Open the browser on the phone or tablet where you play Monopoly GO.
Open the official McDonald’s Fry Guard Shield reward link.
A pop-up should appear asking you to open the link in Monopoly GO. Tap the option to continue.
Monopoly GO will launch automatically and show a confirmation message once the reward has been claimed.
Open your Monopoly GO game board and tap the shield icon in the top right corner.
Find the McDonald’s Fry Guard Shield in your collection and select it to equip the new design.
Make sure you are logged into your main Monopoly GO account before redeeming the link. The reward can only be claimed once per account.
Remember, the McDonald’s Fry Guard Shield will not be around forever, so it’s best to claim it as soon as you can. Promotional Monopoly GO rewards can disappear once their redemption period ends, and these cosmetic items are not necessarily brought back later.
