The 31-year-old man fatally struck by a Brooklyn subway train as he fought with another straphanger on the platform had just been pulled off the train that killed him for harassing passengers, the Daily News has learned.
The man he was fighting with had pulled him off the train and isn’t facing any criminal charges, police sources said.
The horror show unfurled inside the B/Q Prospect Park station in Flatbush near the border of Crown Heights around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, cops said.
Multiple witnesses told police that the deceased victim appeared intoxicated and was harassing other passengers when the man he later fought with pulled him out of the subway car.
Outraged, the victim took a swing at the other straphanger, sparking a brawl.
During the fight, the victim landed on the platform floor near the edge. He managed to get up, but stumbled toward the edge of the platform.
As he stumbled, his head slammed into the departing train, cops said.
The man died at the scene. His name was not immediately disclosed as cops track down family members.
The man he was fighting with called 911 and remained at the scene, officials said. Cops interviewed him, then let him go without charges.
An investigation into this matter was continuing, officials said.
