Toei Animation Has Its Faults
Toei Animation was criticized for adding new scenes
Its sound team also came under fire
Recently, Toei Animation came under fire from the audience for adding new scenes to episodes that affected Sanji’s reputation. Fans called the scenes unnecessary and some even said that they were affecting Oda’s legacy. It is not that viewers don’t want any added scenes, but they just want Toei Animation to stop including things that could severely taint a character’s reputation.
Fans Wanted Updated Sound Effects
Aside from backlash from fans, an animator also called out Toei Animation’s sound team. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the animator criticized the professionalism of the sound team and urged the studio to get rid of them. It’s not shocking to see Toei Animation’s sound team being criticized by an animator because fans have been asking for updated sound effects for years.
When the anime went on hiatus, fans were hoping that the studio would work on improving in this particular field. However, it seems that Toei Animation forgot about it. With an animator speaking out regarding the matter, there is a chance that the studio will finally take some action and give fans what they have been asking for.
Moving on from the controversial bits, there is still a lot of new One Piece content coming out. There are strong rumors that the release date for One Piece Live Action Season 2 will be revealed in the coming weeks. Since filming has already wrapped up, there is no doubt that Netflix will want to update the fans about the project’s release date.
