A man stabbed in a senseless argument just steps from his Queens home bled to death in his grieving mother’s arms early Saturday — capping a week of horrific stabbings in the borough, police said.
Sulimon Ferrier, 29, was across the street from his home on Jamaica Ave. near 175th St. in Jamaica with his father at about 12:55 a.m. when he got into an argument with the suspect, who pulled a weapon and repeatedly stabbed him in the chest, according to cops and heartbroken family members.
Ferrier’s mother heard the commotion from their apartment and raced outside to find her son in a death struggle in the middle of the street.
“They both fell on the floor,” Ferrier’s mother, Cynthia Ferrier Timmers, told the Daily News, breaking down in tears. “He’s like, ‘Mom! He have a knife! He’s stabbing me!’”
Once the suspect ran off, Timmers ran over to her son’s side.
“I pulled my son and I pick him up,” she said. “He collapsed on the floor. He was bleeding, so I tried to compress the bleeding.”
“He said, Mom, I love you! I love you!” she said, breaking down again.
“She was embracing him when he died,” family friend Diana Moliere said.
Ferrier was the father of four, the oldest just 10 years old.
“He ran up and stabbed him,” Ferrier’s grieving father said about his son’s killer. “You have to catch him. I lose my son, but he has to pay the penalty.”

Ferrier, his father and three women were leaving a bar on the block when they spotted the suspect on the sidewalk, the grieving dad told The News.
“This guy was up on the block, and he wanted to fight somebody. One of the ladies tell him, ‘Don’t make no trouble on Jamaica Ave., man!’” the father, who wished not to be named, said. “He just got angry.”
Ferrier and one of the women tried to calm the man down, sparking an argument. When Ferrier walked away, the suspect ran up and started stabbing him.
“He was parting a fight. You know, when two people fighting. Try separate them to stop fighting and that’s what happened,” said a friend of the victim’s family, Raymond Khan, 62. “He was parting a fight, separating a fight and he got killed. Stabbed.”
Police were compressing Sulimon’s chest with a cloth and medical gauze before medics arrived, Khan said.
Medics rushed him to Jamaica Hospital, where he died. Timmers wanted to ride in the ambulance with her son, but was told she couldn’t. A short time later, her daughter reported back with the sad news: Sulimon was dead.

“Mom, he passed away,” she said, Timmers, who will be turning 56 on Monday, recalled.
“This is his home,” she said solemnly. “(He was killed) in front of his home.”
Moliere, 60, works at the same home health care agency as Timmers. She had just gotten off shift Saturday morning when Ferrier’s mother called her, crying hysterically.
“She was crying, and I didn’t know exactly what she was saying, so I rushed over,” she said, tearing up. “I don’t even know what to think anymore. I just don’t know. I just hope they catch this guy.”
The stabber ran off, police said. No arrests have been made.
“It hit me hard this morning when I got home and I heard he died. I thought it was just minor stab he had. I didn’t know it was so major,” Khan said of the victim. “He was bleeding. He said he feel a lot of pain and the police was holding his stomach down. He was screaming, ‘I’m hurt!’ He was screaming his life out. He was hard breathing. He was gasping for breath.”

“Everybody’s grieving. It’s sudden. It’s unexpected,” a family friend who wished not to be named told The News. “We saw him just a few hours before it happened and it’s sad because he’s a good kid.”
Ferrier was a quiet man, but was “very protective” of his family and friends, she said.
“He’s always looking out,” she said. “We’re all from around here. He’ll check on you make sure you’re OK.”

A GoFundMe post to raise donations for Ferrier’s funeral had already collected more than $2,800 Saturday afternoon.
Saturday’s incident was the fourth bloody stabbing in Queens in as many days.
The rash of violence began Wednesday morning when a man knifed his girlfriend to death, then jumped off the roof of their seven-story Far Rockaway apartment building as cops responded, police said Thursday.
When cops arrived at the building on Neilson St. near Dinsmore Ave. about 11:50 a.m., they found the 33-year-old stabber covered in blood standing on a ledge of the roof, a police source said.
Cops tried to talk him down, but he jumped, plunging seven stories, the source said.
Medics rushed him in critical condition to Mount Sinai South Nassau. In addition to injuries from the fall, he had slash wounds on his wrists, ankles and torso, according to a police source.
Inside his apartment, cops found his girlfriend, Pheona Premraj, 31, dead. She had been stabbed in the face, neck, chest and abdomen. The knife used to kill her was next to her body.

Later on Wednesday, Mesias Lojano, a construction worker from Ecuador, was stabbed three times in the upper body and once in the neck during an unprovoked attack aboard a Jamaica-bound J train about 5:20 p.m.
He was slain after a fight with an emotionally disturbed rider spilled off the rush-hour train onto the platform at the Woodhaven Blvd. station, police said.
On Thursday, 25-year-old Jyrell Thomas, who was chased down and arrested after fleeing the scene, was charged with murder and weapon possession in Lojano’s death. Police sources said he picked a fight with the victim without provocation.
Thomas’ arraignment was pending Saturday.
The bloodshed continued early Thursday when a knife-wielding woman repeatedly stabbed a man on the sidewalk in Long Island City, sending him to the hospital, police said.
The woman knifed the 28-year-old man twice in the left arm during the clash on 42nd Road near Crescent St. about 1:36 a.m.
Medics rushed the victim to Weill-Cornell Medical Center, where he’s expected to survive.

As of Sept. 27, police in Queens touted an 18% drop in homicides for the year, down from 50 at this time last year to 41, officials said.
Assaults in the borough were up slightly by 2% — from 4,519 at this time last year to 4,614, officials said.
